May 2017: High Score!
June 2017: The Coral Reef
Frustrated by the lack of progress on his experiments, Lycus calls on the users to help
brainstorm ideas. When the users bring Lenta’s expertise to the table, Hope University science and Enchanted Forest magic combine to make the successful Enchanted Sonar. However, discovering the Coral Reef brings the Everstorm to Hope, destroying Andre’s shop stock!
Though Andre recovered with help from Kei and many users pitching in to learn Tailoring, Princess Celariel of the Enchanted Forest feared the Everstorm would target the Enchanted Forest next. Calling for an immediate courtship competition (which Dizzy merrily took into her own messy hands) despite Othidar’s protests, Dread was announced The Victor.
Lycus took this time for self-reflection when a siren song caught his attention, spurring Lenta to study further. Luckily, their combined efforts in the meanwhile revealed that Tailoring could push back the Everstorm. With the rush wedding postponed, Celariel called for a celebration so as to not waste Jay’s Enchanted Wedding Cake.
At long last, the Everstorm receded to reveal The Coral Reef.
July 2017: Wishes Come True
The monthly Site Contest is replaced with a special Design Contest, where users get to design items, Quests, clothing, and recolors!

September 2017: Treasured Books
When Miranda visits Skyler with the Scrying spell, they decide to swap places again.
Skyler returns to the Enchanted Forest and Miranda comes home to Hope University, leaving Andre with mixed feelings for the loss and gain of a friend.
Miranda’s wanderlust doesn’t keep her at Hope University for long, as Marcus joins the Student Exchange program to run the bookshop in her stead, just like Skyler had done! When Miranda arrives at the Coral Reef, she’s rather unsure how to deal with Tethys’ unusual introduction.
Iris decides that the users have been patient enough, and it’s time they learned the first of many Secrets about the Tattered Weave. The other characters in Hope join her in offering Secret Unique Quests to anyone devoted to them.
Club is promoted to Site Manager and Lead Writer, while stopboorider is promoted from Moderator to Site Assistant!
October 2017: Shadow Stage
A bunch of strange pamphlets came out of the Tatters, inviting users to a deadly performance. The masked Wolf warned everyone not to attract the Narrator’s attention by going maskless, or he might send ‘Stagehands’ after them.
But even death was not as it seemed, for the Hero reappeared, ready to do battle once again, having forgotten his recent death. When users tried to help him remember, the Narrator intervened with a dire warning of his own. Ignoring his threats, everyone banded together to help Hero Ally with a Stagehand, transforming it into a Kith!
Hero explained his Quest to defeat the Narrator, leading everyone to the Witch. Though Witch was just a child, the Narrator possessed her role to issue escalating threats toward the users’ intervention. Undeterred, the users encouraged her to Ally with a Stagehand as well, which had a strange effect on the Narrator’s possession. Thus was the Dollmaker instructed to tell a tale of tragedy, but after comforting a tearful Witch, chose to cut the puppet strings that held him back from an Alliance against the Narrator.
Meanwhile in Hope, Piper and Seeba attempted to lighten up the grim atmosphere with a patch for the play at her Spooktacular Halloweave shop!
Unfortunately for the Artois family, Iris went missing, so Nicholas set out for the Shadow Stage himself.
Storming the Narrator’s castle, they met the Scribe at the gates. Everyone searched high and low, finally discovering that Iris was possessed by the Narrator at the top of the highest tower! In a sudden plot twist, the Scribe called out the Narrator’s poor storytelling and took over herself for a rewrite. With the Narrator gone but vowing vengeance, the Hero returned to life again and the cast of the Shadow Stage was left wondering what would happen next.
November 2017: Witch’s Lessons
The Witch invited everyone to the Spooky Kitchen, giving instructions for all the new tools.
December 2017: Kith Activities
January 2018: Counting Cards
Piper released a new game, Counting Cards, based off Bonnie and Marcus’ card games from the Coral Reef!
February 2018: Enchanted Secrets
March 2018: Loose Ends
The Everstorm returned to the Coral Reef with a vengeance! Lightning struck Enheduanna, Miranda’s Kith, turning her into a Tattered Pluff. She called out for help with a Scrying Spell that fizzled due to the Everstorm’s interference. Ingoring Lycus’ protests, Andre rushed to Tailoring to save his stranded friend, hoping it would be as effective as before.
When that failed, Marcus volunteered to brave the Everstorm to reach Miranda directly. Scooping them both up in his strong arms, Marcus got them safely to the Pirate Grotto down below. Bonnie bought some time while Tethys tried to talk Dione into making Tailoring Patterns, since that stopped the Everstorm before. Though Dione was upset by the suggestion, eventually she agreed to give it a try.
Unfortunately, though Dione tried to sew Enheduanna back together, a Kith cannot be changed by force. Marcus headed back to Hope without her, and Lycus noted with quiet worry that the Everstorm’s readings hadn’t stopped…
April 2018: Plot Twist
When Iris got to Miranda, she tried to encourage Enheduanna to come home and recover in Hope. Instead, Enheduanna bravely chased the Everstorm to - the Shadow Stage!? The Hero took Miranda to see Scribe, who promptly invited her in and sent Hero away on a Quest. Hero turned to Dollmaker for advice and ended up helping him with the undead that rose to bemoan The End they feared was nigh. Once they were put to rest, the two visited Wolf and Witch next, where Witch bought time for Wolf to prepare Tailoring Patterns by cooking up some delicious potion recipes. After much preparation, Wolf acted out her first script by the Scribe without a Narrator’s influence, with great success! As the Everstorm receded, Miranda said her farewells to the Shadow Stage and headed home.
Lycus, on the other hand, was frustrated by the Everstorm’s unpredictable behavior. He was also unhappy to say good-bye to Marcus, who realized how much he missed his friends back home and returned to the Coral Reef.

September 2018: Custom Clothing
Instead of a regular Premium clothing update, September started off with the exciting new Custom Clothing feature! Staff looked for a lot of feedback as the feature was refined over time to suit everyone’s needs in a way that matched our community-oriented goals for the site.
However, when the dreaded Thursday the 13th came upon the Shadow Stage, all of Scribe’s books were “edited” by a mysterious new role, The Slasher! After a great deal of authorial fury, Scribe dragged Slasher all the way to Hope to reveal...
...it was Shady Character all along?! What an unmasking! And there, having heard the good news about all the Custom Clothing submitted to the site, Shady Character set up a storefront in some kind of junkyard pile of uploads. Yay?

December 2018: Glitchsweeper
A story that was once foretold, of Withering beseeching the Forest of old, Princess Celariel came to Hope to reveal, four new premium kith stages to convey the ordeal.
Lycus seemed to have something cooking in his lab. Donations at this time led to some…flying debris? More donations led to a mysterious transmission, and the introduction of the newest game, Glitchsweeper!
January 2019: Event System
January brought the reveal of a new system for events on site! Each stage of the event included special unique event quests to add to a bar to reach the next checkpoint. Our first push through the event system reached out to the transmission and resulted in first contact with a new npc, RiGBy, who hailed from the Cosmic Solarium and requested Lycus’ assistance. A new kith, the Ulusive, arrived through the Tatters to guide Lycus to the Cosmic Solarium. Lycus reached the Core, where RiGBy was waiting for him, but it seemed the other residents were not aware of his intended arrival.
February 2019: Palentine's Day
It's that time of year again! The Love bug opened up her shop with new Palentines-themed items, as well as previous years' stock, and trades to NPCs were open for one day only for you to confess your love of all types!
Lycus' quest to aid the newly-discovered Cosmic Solarium continued. After some data gathering in the Cast-Off Shuttle with the ever sunny PA system, as well as finding a friend in a new kith Nibblug, Lycus continued from the Core into the Upper Crust. He met first with RiGBy's pal Xenia, a cheerful caretaker droid with many unique hobbies, before moving to the Terrace to meet Marisol and Beebot, who seemed to be unaware of the shortages and distress call that had brought Lycus there in the first place.
March 2019: The Cosmic Solarium
Travel through the Cosmic Solarium continues as Lycus is granted access to meet the Commander, Kyprian, and explain how Hope can help. After a review, Lycus is approved to allow Hope to trade with the Solarium, and he broadcasts the good news to PA system, now known to be called Elliot. However, it is still not all sunshine as Elliot reveals something that shakes Lycus. It is time to return home though. After allying with Nibblug, Lycus arrives back in Hope, and is welcomed home by family and friends.
April 2019: Cosmic Solarium Quests
Hourly and Daily quests became available for all the Solarium npcs throughout the month, starting with good grump Elliot and continued to be added through the month.
Two new amazing artists, Shazzbaa and Ruevian, were added to the Tattered Weave team after seeing the amazing custom items they created for the site!
May 2019: Bumble Bum
June 2019: Cosmic Kitchen
Users were granted access to the Cosmic Kitchen in a series of smaller batches, starting with the tools important for the preparation of sustenance on the station. Beebot then buzzed in to announce the release of aspics and other recipes, using such tools as the food compressor and gravity cooker, followed by Xenia and a plethora of recipes sure to please any growing gizmo. And it seems one last surge of recipes slipped through, though Elliot doesn't seem all too happy about it.
July 2019: Fraycation
It seemed Fray had been running around trying to figure out just what types of quests would be best for him. With Andre's suggestion of a relaxing vacation at the Coral Reef, Fray took this as an opportunity to invite as many people as he could from across the remnants. The cross-remnant beach party brought a number of new items, including bath items from Andre, the new Treasured Kith found within their own Treasured Chest, and plus-sized clothing courtesy of both Andre and resident selkie Dione. Bonnie even came out of the woodwork to greet some of the cross remnant guests, cooking some...delectable items with the help of The Witch. As with all good things Fraycation came to an end, but not before Fray was able to release what he needed to put together his quests and secret.
Tattered Weave became Tattered World as the site left beta, seeing a complete new site look, plans for a dark theme and custom themes for the site, and upcoming convention plans as Tattered World entered a new era.
August 2019: Prism Party vs Monochrome Masquerade
August was Diana's birthday month, which usually means a big ole' Prism Party! But looked like Shady was still a little hurt from being booted out of shop and home, and wanted to celebrate his own Monochrome Masquerade celebrating all that is not the garish rainbow nonsense. Users picked a side (or didn't), completing quests for Shady in support of Monochrome, or Club in support of Prism, in the Events section. In the end though, friendship won out with a tie between the two sides.
September 2019: Cosmic Solarium Secrets
Cosmic Solarium Secret Quests were released! Every Solarium character has a unique quest available after you have reached Devoted Reputation. What secrets might be hidden in space?
October 2019: The Illuminary Gala
It was time again for Halloweave! The Abandoned Arcade opened once again, with some all new spooktacular items! Every shopkeeper stocked special Gummy Bats that could then be turned in at the Exchange for selection halloweave pails for the year of your choice!
The Enchanted Forest hosted a magnificent Illuminary Gala, inviting all from across the remnants to attend, and to witness the crowning Rejuvenation Ritual to strengthen the Heart of the Forest. But all was not as smooth as it seemed, as Princess Celariel suspected there was a secret plot to overthrow her brewing. Students were asked to investigate three suspects, the depressed dryad Mara, the conniving elf Dynrial, and the battle-hungry avoreal Thelvoskye, through the Event System, to see if any could be threatening Celariel and the throne. Each week brought more information, Mara interrupting Lenta's Ritual preparations, The Feast that should have brought great joy but instead was spurned on by terrible memories from the last Gala, and updates throughout from the Masked Dancer Thread. Upset by the apparent lack of support, Princess Celariel armed users with new sword patterns, to protect her and take one final look at the suspects. But without enough evidence, users chose to reassure Celariel there wasn't a plot against her, and to proceed with the Ritual. But there was a traitor, with Mara's intervention, and the return of an old foe in the Narrator, the magic was changed, funneled into Celariel, and the Dragon was born.
November 2019: Reign of the Dragon
Celariel's transformation complete, The Dragon had taken full control of the forest, taking the citizens kith as her own underlings, and the Narrator acting as royal advisor as she worked to take full control of the magic of the Heart. And yet, the other forest citizens began an underground resistance- could they gather the missing members across the remnants? As they worked to bring everyone together and planned how to rescue those currently imprisoned, the Narrator offered to take the Dragon's responsibility into his own of hosting the Site Contest, though Scribe and Iris promised that they would make sure his critique would not affect the contestants, and they would choose the winners. Piper and Lycus found each other, and members across the remnants brought forth magical components and weapons they hoped would aid in the rescue of the prisoners. All was not well, however, as it became clear Club had lost her ally in Shady and was now under the Narrator's control. Still, there was hope, and the prisoner rescue proved to be a raging success through the use of custard and laughter, even sprouting some laughter and hesitation from the Dragon- perhaps someone could reach her and bring the Princess back? Users voted through the event system to determine which of the Forest citizens should reach through the Celariel. The Site Contest came to a close, and with it, the Forest citizens were also able to reach their kith and reform their alliances. Finally, the time came, and Othidar stepped up to try to reach through to Celariel, calling on the Princess' own strength to break through, and Celariel cast the Narrator aside as the Forest cast a new Rejuvination Ritual, one to help restore her to herself. Even Shady was able to reach back to Club, though the Narrator left an ominous warning for the future.
December 2019: Voices in the Mist
With the aftermath of her Draconic Reign the previous month, Princess Celariel stepped forth to bring her apologies and offers of recompense. Though this was succeeded by more, a new vow from her to face the End she felt during her transformation not with tradition and sacrifice, but to face it together, as a newly crowned Princess Celariel the Dragonheart. Soon after, a fog started to move into the remnants, which Iris in particular found unsettling, but she braved the edges of the Tatters to make sure any kith coming through were safe. Within she found a Voice, bringing portents of the End. The Voice returned later, bringing more prophecies of finality, including three unique quests that granted pottery revealing stories of gods and death and destruction. But what exactly did these stories mean?
January 2020: Unmaking
Lycus had picked up some weird energy readings from the Tatters, and called on Elliot for some collaboration. With nightmarish readings as were seen more minds were needed, and from across the remnants a team conference was held. Realizing that now was the time for action, and after moving past discussions of sacrifice, Piper's coding led to a breakthrough. Elliot put together a system to allow users to interact with the Tatters, curtailing the excess energy to less dangerous levels, though not without a price, and the Unmaking System was added to the site.
February 2020: Palentines
Love Bug Shop opened once again! This year, Witch traveled over to Hope to visit Piper and collab on a Spooky Palentines!. New food and clothing items flooded the Palentines Shop, and even some of the NPCs dressed up for the occasion! Hope shopkeepers also sold Palentine Candy Hearts which could be traded for previous year Palentines selection items in Estella's Exchange.
March 2020: Voices in the Mist and Beta Battle System
Iris continued to feel that something was wrong, a familiar presence, even taking a trip to the Solarium to speak with the kith there to see if they felt the same danger. After returning to Hope, however, Iris' fears were realized when Hope was attacked, not by kith, but by new destructive creatures called snarls. Iris rushed into the Tatters, feeling that she needed to find the Oracle or Voice in the Mist from before and find a way to save Hope. A face to the voice was finally revealed, as well as the existence of a new remnant, the Golden Colosseum. With this reveal, the Beta Battle System was released for users to test their kith's might against the snarls. Users traveled with Iris to this new remnant, but only the Oracle of Autumn, or Chrysa, was there, the rest still clouded in mist. Chrysa's kith, Pythia, volunteered to lead us to the other remnant residents and, through event questing, we could start to meet them!
April 2020: The Golden Colosseum Revealed
Pythia led us through her home, and we continued to do event quests, as well as battle through the sea of snarls in order to part the mist around the other shopkeepers of the Golden Colosseum. We first reached the Temple of Growth, where Zephyr shared her bounty with us before we traveled further, as well as introducing us to his own diverse set of allies, including the new weather-influencing elementhian. She directed us next to Fauns Fragments, overseen by Gallus who, while not as battle-enthusiastic as others in the Golden Colosseum, will support and encourage rest outside the battlefield. For those more inclined to the art of battle, Gallus sent us to Valeria, who was more than happy to show us how to crush the snarls with her trusty ally Spot the Trimerus. We still had more to go though, and with Nicholas and Iris we traveled to the Temple of Memory and met Kosmas, a young mystic who seemed very intent on his job of keeping the history of his home and the other remnants in order, though his Ugling ally Sophos aimed to keep him in check. One last push to part the mists and the full Golden Colosseum was revealed, as well as the armorer Quintina. Chrysa left us with one last prophecy, however this one did include a call for rest- perhaps whatever may come can wait for now.
May 2020: Golden Colosseum Quests
Hourly quests were released for the Golden Colosseum npcs, but were revealed to work a bit differently than past remnant quests, since the Golden Colosseum did not require secrets to discover. Specific hourly quests would need to be completed with Chrysa in order to part the mists surrounding the other npcs, and their quests would not be unlocked until the mists were parted (when those npcs reached friendly through quests with Chrysa).
June 2020: Golden Colosseum Kitchen!
July 2020: Battle Complexity!
Time for some battle complexity! All existing Hope strategies were given additional effects, as well as potential bonus or negative modifiers based on kith species, personality, and luck! On top of this, team battles were introduced, allowing users to choose up to three kith to go into battle at once. Time to get back at those snarls!
