Tutorial TutorialCode Update: 1/9/18
A few minor updates are rolling out today! You won't notice most of them, except for these:
- Cooking and Tailoring now have a search bar! This searches the name and description of the Recipes/Patterns.
- Subscribed users will now receive notifications to alert them when their subscription is about to expire.
- Kith notifications (such as learning a new transformation) are now triggered by Kith Activities.
- Users who try to Ally with a Solitary Kith that has over 400 in every ability will see a warning message explaining that they will not be able to unlock another Kith slot for free.
One of the backend bug fixes that we've added is an attempt to solve the rewards problem that occurs when you receive rewards from two sources at exactly the same second (such as from Kith Activities and Games). Due to this change, there might be some new bugs that appear while using currency, such as an unusual delay in purchasing an item (over 10 seconds) or not seeing Shards update on an immediate refresh. If you notice any of these bugs, please report them in the Technical Support Forum with as many details as you can provide!

New Game: Counting Cards!
AHHHH! A new year, a fresh start, a chance to change for the better!
Pshhh. Why improve perfection, right? Hahaha! I’m just kidding, there’s always room for improvement! And today I’ve got a big, shiny, new update for the Arcade:
A NEW GAME!
That’s right, a brand-spankin’-new game inspired by my big buddy Marcus! He’s been joining us at family fun night and teaching us all the cool card games they play in the Coral Reef. It’s been a real challenge to program these ones - the books I’ve found at the University use a lot of math that I’m, uh, not studying yet… But Marcus is super good at math so he’s been lots of help!!
My game is based off Counting Cards, a pretty simple game of streaks - so your Shards are very luck-based! Wink! It’s okay though, I made sure to keep Kith points nice and even, earning a point for every two successful rounds! What you gotta do is play a card from the facedown pile, then try to put a faceup card that’s one point value higher or lower onto it! The more faceup cards you can stack in one streak, the more Shards you’ll earn! Oh! And! Clearing a whole column of faceup cards gets you some more Shards, as does finishing a full round!
If you’ve still got questions, don’t worry, I put the rules in there too! Like how you can count a card’s value and what Jokers do, and more! Lycus helped us call Bonnie through one of those fancy Scrying spells and she showed me how they play at the Coral Reef, so everything’s really really authentic and stuff! Take a look for yourself!!

We are so happy to welcome the new year with all of you! Today our top staff are going over plans for 2018, a year of growth and change for the better! We want to thank you all for the kind and helpful feedback and support you've offered Tattered Weave through 2017, our first full calendar year of Open Beta. For 24 hours, from 12:00PM CHT January 1 to 12:00PM CHT January 2, all shop timers have been reduced from 1 minute to 10 seconds. Woohoo! Now is a great time to stock up on those rare items!
We are also putting EVERY Pick-A-Part item back in Nicholas' shop for the next 24 hours, so you can grab any premium items you might have missed. After tomorrow, these will be taken back off the shelves along with the Spectral Witch Badge Bundle, Pick A Part: Spectral Witch Badge, Broom Rider Badge Bundle, and Pick A Part: Broom Accessory Badge until we have another special "vintage" sale of retired premium items! The Kith apparel Badges, Scrying Spell Badges, Enchanted Sky Badges, and Pigmented Wind Badges will stick around through the month of January. Don't worry if you can't make it this time; none of these will permanently retire, never to be found for sale again. There's always next year!

Okay, Marcus, what was it that you needed to show me outside? I finished that last experiment but I don't really want to be out of the lab too long while I should be working... Oh, this-this isn't about the school turning off the fountain for winter, is it? I forgot to tell you, that's so the pipes don’t freeze and burst, it's perfectly normal. Even if X is sore about losing her own personal 'swimming pool.'

Due to a rare bug that causes a user to not receive their rewards when they get Shards/Gems from more than one source simultaneously (such as Games and Kith Activities), we've shifted the Kith Activities to run at 4:00AM CHT in the hopes of reducing the likelihood that the bug will happen. We'll have to come up with a better long-term solution for this, particularly since I know some of you like having multiple tabs open to play games & shop, but for now this is our band-aid remedy! If you're online at 3:59-4:10AM CHT and have a Kith picking up Shards, it might be a good idea to step away for a bathroom break and resume playing afterwards. However, if you happen to run into this rare bug, please report it in the Technical Support Forum and I will manually fix your rewards for you. Thank you for your understanding!
