Tutorial TutorialNew Recipes: Muffin Tin!
You say muffin-top like it's a bad thing...
I'm not sure about all of you, but I'm the kind of person that has to eat breakfast on the run. No time for pancakes or cereal with my busy schedule. You know what I do have time for? Muffins. Portable, complete, and with lots of variety in flavors. Muffins are practically the perfect breakfast food for me. And everyone’s been doing a whole lot more travel since Lycus found that crazy forest, so I thought I'd share my favorite recipes with you.
In the Blueberry Muffin you've got a nice, moist muffin that just about anyone would enjoy. The Apple Muffin is good for mornings when you might be worried about blueberry stains but still want a simple flavor. The Chocolate Muffin is my go-to on mornings when I need an extra kick in the pants to get going. Yes, it still counts as breakfast! Oh, hush, if you’re looking for the healthier kind I've got the Ginger Carrot Muffin, which even Piper will eat without complaint.
Speaking of Piper - I can already feel her breathing down my neck - so yes, I have cupcake recipes too. Even I’m guilty of an early morning leftover cupcake or two, but please try to limit your Frosting intake. To warm up your cupcake skills, start with some delicious Yellow Cupcakes, great for practicing your frosting skills on when there are so many around. Once you’re comfortable with that, you can move up to the more flavorful Strawberry Cupcake! Mmm… Or, if you’d rather forget the frosting altogether, there is the tangy Lemon Zest Cupcake which has its own challenges thanks to the candied lemons. And of course, for all you chocolate fiends, we have the Chocolate Cupcake that I personally like to decorate with some Heebie-Jeebies.
All of these will need a proper Muffin Tin to make, despite the name 'cup' cake. You can swing by the General Store and pick up all these recipes. But don't over feed Piper sweets. I know she is going to go begging... Same goes for your Kith.
New Items: Toys!!!!!!!!!
Child's Play
Hi everybirdie! Are you all doing well? Not getting into too much trouble? Well let me help that! Just kidding, just kidding!
I do have some fun new toys for all of you though! I've been talking with my Kith Burnie and we decided that what you need is some toys to teach you the ways of the Forest! You should start with the classic Wooden Peg Doll, which is great for those who might be a tad too rough on more elaborate dolls. And if one isn't enough, I’ve got a whole Wooden Peg Doll Painting Set for those of you who want to make a whole mini army!
Speaking of army, you Hope folks have animals that just walk around all willy-nilly with no plants?! That's so weird! Since Rometzs are so important here I was thinking it was important you all understood what was what so I got this very educational and not-annoying-sounding-at-all pull-and-play, The Rometz Goes...? Noisy toys are some of my favorites so I also got out the Bead Maze and Spinning Top with their soothing rattling and plunking noises. Great for helping young kith learn about movement too! If you get one of the tops that refuses to fall down you might want to get Lenta to disenchant it, somebirdie has been pranking me by casting a spell on them! I know it’s you, Burnie!!
I’ve got this Plain Wooden Yo-yo that is great for learning the basics before you get a fancier one that you might scuff up the paint job on. Uh, you, uh, might not want to use this in the Throne Room. Like, never ever use it in there. I warned you, anything that gets broken isn't my fault now! Oh! And! There’s one more toy that you have to be careful about! She's a killer! No, I really mean it, this is a poisonous Mrs Mushroom Head that you absolutely shouldn’t eat! 100% Not Food! Toy only! You'll get the itchiest rash and these weird green blotches all over! Trust me! No matter how hungry you get, it isn't worth it! I get itchy just thinking about it...

New Items: Gloves!
Fits like a Glove
Oh good, you’re here! Quick, come down to the Tailored Fashions before those wild Kith break in again - I have some delicate new stock and I can't bear to see it chewed up and destroyed!
These Lace Gloves are as beautiful as they are fragile. I hand-stitched all the lace myself for the best possible fit and can promise you they are very quality pieces. O-oh? Are these too delicate? Hm, what about these Opera Gloves? They’re more sturdy than the lace! Fancy and regal, these gloves fit snugly all the way up past your elbow. They’re great for an extra bit of warmth with a sleeveless dress. Perhaps try pairing them with a evening gown?
Is that still not what you were hoping for? Well, I do have some nice warm gloves for outdoor use! Both the Wool Mittens and Leather Gloves are perfect for work and play in cold weather. You can choose how much finger dexterity you want verses finger warmth. Eh? You want...more flexibility than that, too? Um… There is that box of all the gloves with the finger tips bitten off... do... you want Fingerless Gloves? I could finish off those edges and keep them from fraying any further... Hm. Maybe there is a silver lining to all this...
