Code Update: 10/16/17

Good morning, everyone! It's time for another round of code updates and bug fixes. We've got some minor updates for you here that should be very helpful! As always, if you notice a problem, please report it in the Technical Support Forum. Thank you!

The "extra slots" bug in the Dressing Room has been fixed (yet again). Hopefully for good this time!

In Tailoring, the "No Color" text can now be set by admin to the correct default color. Yay! It will take us some time to go through all the Patterns and make this change, so please be patient as this is added to Tailoring.

Achievements are finally working again for admin, so we'll be getting those uploaded soon for Marcus, The Hero, and The Witch. Please be patient as this may take some time to upload and implement.

I've created a checkbox in your Settings in case you want to disable Trades and/or Messages. NPCs will be disabling Trades and Messages shortly, so please use the @Tag to notify them of any discussion in the Forums! The way you can tag an NPC is by using this format: [ @Name [npc] ].

Speaking of the @Tag button, we've added a space to the end of the @Tag BBCode button so it should now automatically tag correctly when being used, instead of needing an extra space to be added afterward.

And finally, some of the Character store dialog was from an outdated file, so you may notice minor changes have been made to fix some errors.

October Event: Witch Hunt

Beware, everyone, this path is littered with traps set by the Wolf. Though Mawnite bought us some time by running ahead to lead Wolf away, I don't think that will be enough to pry a snap-trap off anyone's leg! Ah, fair Iris, do you see the candy-coated cottage ahead? We're nearly there now. I knew Wolf wouldn't be able to resist giving chase to Mawnite! She'd be on us by now if the plan hadn't worked! Ha ha! I guess what they say about dogs and bones is true for wolves as well!

Now I just have to hope the rest of our plan goes as smoothly. Witch isn't like Wolf, she does not hunt or prowl about for prey. She's loyal to the Narrator, yes, but not out of any real affection. I... don't think she knows any better? Despite all her power and magic, she is not truly a creature of malice, merely... mischief. I'd certainly rather deal with her than The Wolf any day.

Ah, wait! Look! There, above the door!

Damn! The Narrator has the doorway being watched! We'll have to be fast - once Wolf hears we're here, she'll drop everything to come protect Witch. It won't matter that we're not here to be aggressive, simply being here at all will be taken as a threat.

Ahem. Witch! Witch, come out! I want to talk to you, Witch!

SILENCE! I have grown tired of your interference. Did you really think that would work? Iris, you were invited to my Stage in the hopes that we could come to a mutually beneficial arrangement, but if all you are going to do is unravel my stories, I have no need for you. Go back to Hope and play out your own dull saccharine tale. Leave mine be. Hero has a purpose, as all my players do. Each Thespian carries out their role and the narrative thrives all around us. I will not let you disrupt all my hard work.

Ngh, Iris, none of these tools are working! I...I can't break away the chains at all! Am I not strong enough? W-what am I even doing...this...

October Event: The Hero's Battle

Hero! Heroooo! It's time! I caught one! I found this little one sitting in the graveyard pretending to be a statue! Hyup, down you go; nice and easy.

Now be good and sit still for us, okay? I was lucky when I caught this one - I think as long as you keep watching them, they won't try to scurry off. Maybe they're still pretending to be a statue?

Hero, it's up to you now! Take everything you've learned from us in Hope and use all that knowledge to gain the little one's trust and bond with it. If that doesn't work we can try your, ah, "curse breaking spell" but I am... hesitant to start with that.

October Event: The Hero Lives Again

Wheeeww... This stage seemed a whole lot smaller when we arrived here. I've been wandering all over it and not seen a single living soul who can help me. Is everyone hiding from me? I thought I'd done a good job avoiding any of those poor "Stagehand" Kith. What am I going to do...? Those little ones need help, but at this rate I don't know where else to go. I'm clear across the the stage from the woods and-

BWAAAAAA! G-goodness, you startled me! W-wait, you're... but... how!? I thought you were- Oh! H-here, let me help you up! I didn't see you laying behind that log there.
