Premium Praise!
That’s right, the Premium shop is now officially open for business! Since we’ve had some interest in supporting more features with premium purchases, we decided to open it during Closed Beta rather than postpone until Open Beta. As an extra thank-you for all the hard work you’ve done with testing the site and helping us perfect our craft, Nicolas will be offering a Story Quest for 1 week worth 500 free Gems!
We expect the Premium Kith Stages to be uploaded soon. We’ll be adding those to the Headmaster’s Office once they’re ready. Those of you who backed at the Charismatic tier and up will be receiving a Heroic Medallion, which you can exchange during Closed Beta for the Kith type you want (right now the items are type-specific; we’re working on a way to do this better next time!) at the Story Quest page. You can only choose one, so choose wisely!
Finally, have some more lovely little updates! We’ve added a Description to the User Profile page, so now you can tell us a bit more about yourself than the “I am/Call me” fields allow. We’ve also modified the User Profile and Gallery to be viewable when logged out. At last, you can show off to your friends and convince them to join the site next month! ;)
Many thanks to Shazzbaa for suggesting this: the Cooking page now has a “Ready” tab that quickly shows you any Recipes for which you’ve acquired all ingredients & tools! No more hunting through the pages of Known Recipes to remember which one works with what you just collected. Read More »
Bug Fix: 9/21/16
Gallery!
The User Gallery page is now up and viewable by other users! Show off your collections, however you want to customize them. Maybe you collect one of every single item, no matter how insignificant, or maybe every item with the color red in it, or items with descriptions that make you laugh, or maybe you really want 10,000 Eggs; I won’t judge. You can find the Gallery Title and Description in your Settings page. (The Settings page may see an update in the next month or two as well!)
On a completely different note: Trades now have a Comment section! You can write a short one-time note on your offer in a Trade. This isn’t editable, nor is it a back-and-forth; think of it more like a post-it note attached to your shiny pile of items. Any lengthy Trade discussions should be held over Messages or through the Marketplace Forum. Thank you all very much for the suggestion!
With regards to the Trades, we’ve run into a streak of bad news on the User Stores. Like the Search feature, it’s going to take much longer than we’d hoped. We’re improving the design we have for the long-term, but it’s unlikely that we can finish it before the end of the year, much less before Open Beta in October. The Comment section added to Trades is meant to help mitigate this loss until we can put the Stores in place. I understand this is an inconvenience, and I am making some alternate plans for minor features and events to help mitigate these problems until we can get the Stores up.
Remember to please report any problems to the Technical Support Forum. Your browser version is very helpful information if we have to troubleshoot a problem. I'd also like to ask, as a favor, if you could try to replicate a problem so that I know whether it was a strange one-time little bug or whether it is reoccurring for multiple users; this also helps me to sleuth my way to the source of the problem. The more details, the better!

Jay's Hourly Quests
Work hard, play hard.
Today I bring you Jay’s Hourly Quests! Get to know our sweet but strict manager of the General Store, who’s really desperate for help with all the hungry, destructive Kith running around. Her Quests took quite a bit of reworking due to the Cooking updates, but that just means you now have a chance to improve your Tools and Recipes if you offer Jay a helping hand! Remember that it may take an hour or two for the new Quests to show up on your account.
I’ve also added a few more Lycus Hourly Quests to help balance out all those pans he keeps asking for. Hopefully this makes him a little bit easier to work with!
Lastly, I fixed a mistake with the Iris Hourly Quests. I, er, forgot to turn on the Kith Attribute rewards. Those should be working now! As some of you pointed out, Color Theory was showing up too frequently, so we’ve temporarily disabled the Quest until Open Beta. Stock up on those basic colors to collect your bonus colors when it comes back! We’re brainstorming ideas for how to fix the issue, but it may take some time before we find a good long-term solution. New Items: Pants!
What’s in YOUR pockets?
I've been getting requests for something that is not quite sleepwear, but is at least comfortable lounge wear. And while I am not the sort to wear Sweat Pants out and about, I can’t deny they are temptingly comfortable… But variety is the spice of life, and in contrast to the relaxed comfiness of the Sweat Pants, I also have a new line of Dress Pants. I'm giving you all a little bonus here and throwing in a free belt with them - they need that extra touch to look just right.
I’ve also found in my day-to-day life that it might be safer to start carrying things of importance on my person. Iris seems nice, but her “little ones” have sticky paws, if you catch my meaning. I've lost more buttons than I can count… So, since I need more secure storage, I have a whole set of new Cargo Pants for all your pocket needs! Buttons, thread, snacks; pack whatever you want with the confidence that tiny claws will have… well, not an impossible time, but at least a harder time sneaking off with it.
And finally, I bring you something that isn't even pants at all. No, they are in fact, Shorts. And unlike the Cargo Pants, they have absolutely no pockets at all, which means the Kith won't be sneaking things like ribbons or paper or... whatever sorts of things Kith collect for their nests onto your person. Be a pack mule no more, and show off your legs while it’s still warm enough to do so.
These new pants (and shorts) will be down at Tailored Fashions for you to come and peruse. And if any of you find a cache of stolen buttons, they can be returned at my store, no questions asked. Sigh. Read More »

Iris has Hourly Quests now! Remember that it may take an hour or two for those to show up on your account. If you’re dedicated enough to helping the Kith, you may even be lucky enough to earn one of the rarest items on the site: Tattertints!
Tattertints are special scraps of the Tattered Weave that can teach a Kith how to change its color! Iris tells me that collecting even the most basic Tattertints can be a good idea - after all, certain colors can be mixed to make other colors… Read More »
