New Premium Items: Whirlwind Waltz Set!
Posted on April 04, 2025Fearing to lose such an important part of our history - and an important, no, vital component of a complete understanding of magic and magical theory… I ventured to take a small… ah… well, not a risk, exactly… The wording of my Agreement was careful and meticulous as to avoid any unwanted entanglements or losses. It was therefore a rather lengthy document, so I shall sum up the gist of it for you.
I have bargained for the right to observe a representative of the Cirque Faerial using wind magic to craft something new imbued with said magic’s powers!
I may – that is, I am permitted to take notes on the process, and I may invite guests to provide additional corroborative information - hence my invitation to you today - but neither you guests nor myself will be permitted to interfere with the spell. The representative also retains the right to keep the resulting items.
Ah, I – I see there is some concern, so let me assure – reassure you that there is not only no mention of a loss of memory or additional debts to Cirque Faerial, there are clauses specifically negating such claims on any of us! I made certain of it. So I hope that is adequately reassuring to you. If not, I suppose - well, you may take your leave with an abundance of caution regarding this Agreement of mine.
Instead of any payment in memory or self, I shall pay the cost of this transaction with the loss of another cherished piece of our history… I regret… No, to say I regret this deal would be to indicate that I do not believe I will obtain a fair trade. Let us appreciate the originals while we still can. They date from as far back as the Golden Age and were perhaps - though scholars do not unanimously agree - it is a possibility that they were once the property of one of the Wizards Three. Which Wizard it might have belonged to is a matter of even greater debate, though, given what we now know about the Golden Age and the whereabouts of certain members of- Ah! But I digress! You did not come here today to hear me recount tales of tiresome… or rather… passionate academic bickering. Let us return our focus to the items at hand.
The craftsmanship of the Black Tempest Armor Headdress and the matching Black Tempest Armor Shoulder Wings is remarkable. Even the feathers have stood the test of time.
We are relatively certain that this ensemble was meant to be armor, given the protective layering visible in the Black Tempest Armor Chestpiece and the Black Tempest Armor Boots.
But I have always been most drawn to studying the Black Tempest Armor Collar and Black Tempest Armor Gauntlets due to the way that their designs hint towards how wizards of the past channeled and harnessed the power of wind…
I am eager to see if my theories hold up when I am permitted to study the casting of wind magic up close, but despite the time we having spent talking, they do not seem to have… that is to say, they seem to have been delayed or per-
Ah, no, I was mistaken! Forgive me, please. I did not notice your arrival, Pandora.
