I would have thought with all the baking I do I'd have built up more strength in my arms, but all these costumes piled up together are just so bulky!

Why [i]are[/i] we taking all these garments to the castle? I do not recognize them - has the Scribe decided to cast new Roles? Hm, I'm not sure I like the sound of that...

Actually these are all really old Roles! And it isn't Scribe that wants them, it's me! See, my Witch's cottage has a huuuge attic for storage; Grandma says that every Witch was kept so busy that they'd just pile on more magic to put props away instead of cleaning it out properly. While Castwick and I were up there last week, we found a bunch of these costumes for unfinished roles and I decided I'm going to give them a proper story! That way they won't be left unfinished by the Narrator.

Hm... Turning our greatest enemy's weapons against him before he has a chance to use them... I see! It is a daring plan, and not one I would have ever assumed to come from one as gentle and kind as you, dear Witch! Are you sure that cunning Scribe isn't putting ideas into your head? Despite her sometimes surly nature, there is no other on the Stage more open in her distaste for the dastardly menace that is the Narrator than her.

Hee hee! Nope! But she is very supportive! Gramdma got a bit growly about it too, but I feel really sure about this! Like how it was with all the Kith when they broke free from the Narrator's control! If we can give these unfinished roles their endings, won't that be good for everyone? But don't worry, I'm not trying to assign anyone to permanent roles for this!! I'm just using the costumes for inspiration! Scribe says my 'mind palace' is still in its early stages and it's important to have lots of research and inspiration to draw from. I've been doing all my writing up at the castle with her help, so that's why I wanted to haul all these costumes there.

The large coffin has been very handy for carrying all these, indeed. I originally thought you were just trying to be fashionable! Tell me, which roles do you have in mind to save?

Well, this all started with the Monster Bride... It seemed so sad to have a role with such a devoted purpose, who never got married in the end. Don't you think you'd be sad if you were supposed to get married and never got to? It made my heart hurt to think about... So I want to write a happy ending for her. She can't get married without a supporting cast, though! Scribe showed me the rest of the unfinished works, and out of all of them I've really been focused on two roles in particular; the [b]Gravedigger[/b] and the [b]Scarecrow Witch[/b]. For some reason, I just... feel really drawn to those two. But nothing is finished yet! I've still got a lot to write!! You'll have to wait and see what I come up with~! Huh? Mr Hero? Are you okay?
