Written by Admin  Posted on January 25, 2021 Another big Forum update is here, huzzah! This will likely be the last big Forum update for a while as we shift our attention to other aspects of the site. Each Forum post can now have its own optional tags which users can follow to see in their Followed Activity page! My hope is that this will help people find interesting posts in categories that they might not think to check. For example, you can add the Lenta tag whenever you ping them on the Forums or post fan art/fanfic/wild theories about their mushrooms.

Tags are always converted to all-lowercase and have a 40-character limit per tag. There is not currently an autocomplete, so please check your spelling! I suspect that some of our characters may end up with popular tag nicknames... I'm lookin' at you, Celariel.

Cheers and Tags have been added to the Followed Activity and Recent Activity pages, so that you no longer have to visit the original thread in order to look at those pop-ups or give it a Cheer from the Activity pages!

The final Forum feature is the ability to upload images directly to the site! We've put an initial tentative limit of 5MB and 1 per post in order to discourage spam, so please post responsibly. We're still a very small site and trying to keep our costs manageable.

Unrelated to the Forums, but often requested, is our last update of the day: a handy new notification! You will now receive an immediate notification whenever Gems are added to your account thanks to a purchase by one of your referrals. If you didn't already know this, our referral system rewards free Gems to the referrer whenever their referred user makes a premium purchase - yes, every time! This is our way of encouraging referrals to people who want to stick around and support the site, even by free users who cannot make premium purchases themselves.
