October Event: The Feast

I am honored to formally welcome you all!
Please come and partake in this feast at our ball.
Try many fine dishes, some never yet seen,
Which showcase the recipes of our late Queen.
However, before we begin to consume,
I wish to dispel the rumors in this room.
Since several concerns have been reaching my ears,
Allow me to alleviate all of your fears.
Please forgive any missteps from our new friends -
It is natural to have questions about a ball that one attends,
And curious naïveté is no cause for alarm
So, please, be at ease - we shall come to no harm.
Our chef will now introduce meals we can sample,
So gather your plates! All the servings are ample.
