…Angelique, the band and I agree - I think we’re good to go. Between the smooth melodies in the music surroundin’ us, and the measurements on Lycus’ machinery, it certainly seems like we've finally finished dissipatin’ the last of that "magnetic" energy that drew Rock Bottom on a collision course, careenin’ straight into us and leadin’ us straight to their caverns.
‘Course, that wasn’t as efficient as a trip back to Port would've been… but now we know to keep a careful ear turned and our instruments tuned to keep it from happenin’ again…
As for what this’ll mean for our routes goin’ forward, though… Hm. Hard to say.
But now that our crisis is averted, it doesn't feel right just sittin’ here with the steamboat churnin’ water. No merchandise to move, no new songs to seek out, and no way to help out Hope in those bone-dry Rock Bottom tunnels… Not that they’d need us. It’s enough to make a man feel tense and twitchy to the tips of his toes.
So how’s about this, cherie – you and me, we take the ship on a test spin, stickin’ to the safe harbors in this Remnant collective. By veerin’ away from Hope but still stayin’ within the lands that are already harmonized with them, we can calculate for sure that we’re in the clear.
