i wasn't entirely sure if this should maybe go in recruitments or.. what. so mods, feel free to move this if it isn't in the right place! anyway. howdy! i'm val, valiant, valkyrie, whatever you care to call me really. i'm 22, live in us central time and have way too much time on my hands. speaking of activity, i prefer a partner who keeps a similar time frame as me. i like being able to pop up and chat and plot when we're both online and neither of us has to wait 8 hours for a simple yes or no. that being said, i'm not going to be strict about your actual roleplay reply frequency. there are definitely days where i can turn over 10 or more replies in a single sitting as well as days where i can't be bothered. i understand when irl things come up. i would appreciate it if you could extend the same courtesy to me. i can typically write about 2-4 paragraphs per character per reply, but i know that there are situations which call for less or more. rest assured that i will never, ever send you a one-liner. along with this i can write with multiple main characters and bring in and out various npc side characters as needed. i will never play a canon character, nor will i play against one. ocs in some fandom universes is fine though. i have a heavy preference for roleplaying over email and chatting/plotting over discord, though honestly working with pm's here shouldn't be much of a problem until i get bored with the site (again, whoops). i'm perfectly down with just about everything in the book (a few minor exceptions), and we can discuss any issues you may or may not have in depth when we get to that point. please do not ever hesitate to tell me if something makes you uncomfortable, or if you feel pressured to do something in particular. i promise that that is not my intention! an odd preference i have is creating fresh, brand new characters for a given roleplay, rather than half-erasing and rewriting previously made characters. i also like each of us creating our characters individually and just throwing them at one another and seeing if they stick without having to worry about making a perfect match. i'm down with any sort of gender pairing (m/m, m/f, f/f, etc). my biggest pet peeve in the world is someone who restricts themselves to only one type of character. for example, i'd most likely turn down anyone who came to me saying that they only play female characters. i understand having a particular preference at a given time, and i'm more than happy to help someone expand their horizons, but i'm going to be adamant about the use of the word "only." topics one thing that needs to be in my roleplays is fantasy. you won't find a single boring, normal slice of life rp here! tbth i highly prefer shapeshifters/werewolves Pokemon Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead The Others by Anne Bishop Mercy Thompson/Alpha & Omega by Patricia Briggs Psy-Changelings by ??? yes, that clears everything up quite nicely! i personally would never post 18+ content publicly, but it's very reassuring to know that we do have the option to discuss such things privately. like, i get the need to protect certain users from topics like that but it can quickly become overkill imo. i guess this was a way to ascertain where tw fell on that scale? haha anyway, thank you so so much! this was a huge help and definitely got a load off my mind. ^_^

Clarification of rules?
i'm in the process of creating a personal roleplay ad and i was wondering about a few rules... specifically these ^ and how they might pertain to roleplay. i really have no problem keeping a PG-13 rating on things, but how far does that rating extend? for example, could i say that i would be down for 18+ roleplays and all that entails as long as they were conducted over private messages? and what about the sharing of personal information like email and skype? i highly doubt i would post either on a public forum, but there are definitely people that do. i'm asking this in advance because i've gotten in (mild) trouble on furvilla for mentioning the occurrences of 18+ topics, and i have a bit of a history with trying to give out my email on neopets. >_> i like this site way too much to risk getting the banhammer lol thank you very much to any and all answers!
