"I think I might be a little heavy for you, dear, but if I can pass you the portal device, I should be able to climb up myself!" Ah, alright. Luci wouldn't openly admit the idea made her nervous, even with her preliminary knowledge on guns. She had this fear deep in her stomach that as soon as she'd touch the thing something would go horribly wrong. Unsurprisingly, nothing at all went wrong, although when she took the gun she held it quite like it was some radioactive object that would kill her if she held it too close to herself. Her ears betray her emotions all too well too, but then she watches Ada as she climbs up, worried she'd miss some hoof hold and slip down and damage herself.

"Is your battery down there?" "Oh, uh, not quite-" "Lucienne, hello darling! What good timing!" Lucienne brightens up, even surprising herself. She hadn't expected to be so relieved to see that Ada was ok, and not consumed by some awful luck down in the dark tunnels. Although, she looks a little messy. "Miss Ada!" Lucienne looks around before looking back at her. "Do you need any help getting out? The sides of the canal seem slick." Her fluffy little ears are perked all the way up. "How is your, um... Battery? Are you ok? We found a...." Luci glances at Pellam, then back to Ada, "A different Mister Pellam, and he seems to have some more knowledge about charging you up that I would." She expects that Ada must feel some form of mechanical exhaustion by now. She wonders what it feels like.
Lucienne decided to let Static figure out the "Other Pellam" situation. It was already much too confusing to wrap her own head around, and she just focused on walking. Surprisingly, she found it comforting to carry Static. Maybe it was just because she's so used to being alone when she travels in the forest, who knows. Walking, though, Lucienne noticed the environment had subtly and slowly began to change. While the ground wasn't completely even, it was much more flat than other areas of the forest here. And some surfaces seemed, even with the overgrowth of plants, much too straight-edged to be natural. Without realizing it, the group had already entered the city, and likely somewhere below the many years of dirt and plants below their hooves lay some old, broken up road. It became much more noticeable, though, when the strange and endlessly tall trees had the bones of old skyscrapers and buildings around or leaning upon them. With the absence of the plants, these likely would've fallen and been buried years ago. Even still, some of the buildings may not even be present anymore, instead just an illusion made by vines and roots and such that had ground around them before they decomposed and rusted away. The ruins get taller and bigger the further they walk. There's no remnants of vehicles or people -- likely destroyed by the passage of time and the various creatures that live here. But the city itself, what of it is recognizable, seems to have been once bustling and extremely advanced. Ahead, the ground suddenly makes way, and many tunnels, some natural, and some old sewer tunnels linking up to what seems to be a naturally formed drainage canal leading to some far-off lake or river. The tunnel Ada took connects to it. Lucienne knows this and goes to the edge, holding onto some strange looking large fungus to lean a little, looking to see if she's maybe already there.
