James was Victoria’s fifth ally, the two met when Victoria was in the Shadow Stage, recovering with her family after the attack of the scourge. Witch and Victoria found the little Mawnite in the woods during a picnic, and after talking with the little guy, Victoria found out that he'd never been allied, and volunteered to be his first.

At first James spent quite a bit of time lurking around the prop cart, piling the red and black roses Hero sells, which he then left around for Wolf and Dollmaker to find. Going to the Confectionary when he was hungry, but spending most of his time alone, quite by his own choice.

He stayed in the Shadow Stage for a good while, emerging shortly after Victoria allied with Fandom. Now he spends most of his time in the Enchanted Forest, tending to flowers, although he also enjoys spending time with Dollmaker, even taking on a vegetarian diet in admiration of him.
