Sigmund came to Victoria a fully realized kith, his previous alliance ended after a climactic argument caused both ally and kith to realize they weren't right for each other. Sigmund believes that it's never too late to make a new start, and he encourages other kith to find allies that really fit with them, rather than staying with someone you don't get along with.

Sigmund is grateful for his past alliance and its part in his upbringing, but he feels more comfortable in his current alliance. Victoria gives him an extra sort of independence that her other kith don't ask for.

Sigmund spends a lot of time with solitary and not-yet-allied kith, teaching them what he can, as well as working with Iris on his rather uncommon speech impediment; often Sigmund slips up and says the wrong word, which sometimes causes confusion, but mostly he finds a bit of amusement in the stories these mix-ups lead to.
