Two things:
First, would it be acceptable to link to a video of me playing the game as my submission? As in, small edits to the video would be my "commentary." It would also include my score and the date/time.
Second, do you have to enter a score that you achieved during the month of the contest, or are you allowed to enter it plus your commentary for a later month? I ask because I'd love to enter for this month, but seeing as there are only nine days left in the contest, I doubt I'd get many views/cheers.

If this is for the games category, I personally don't see why not. I'll get Club or Diana for a second opinion, but I think it'd be fine? You could always also include a screen shot. Nobody said anything against going above and beyond??

I think a video be perfectly fine as a submission. As for days left, I have seen lots of 'last' entries win since more people go in on the last day and vote.
You don't have to enter a game score from that month, but it is encouraged to do so. That way we don't have the same entries being resubmitted again and again.
