Reputation cap?
Tutorial TutorialReputation cap? 0
Searched the first few pages and didn't see, so sorry if this was asked before! (If there's a forum search feature that I'm blindly missing, let me know, too.)
Once we max out reputation on characters, I know it goes a little past that because I haven't dropped back down at the 23:00 tick when reputation lowers - but the question is, by how much?
Is there an absolute max on reputation, or can we build the number forever, does anyone know?
Thank you!

As far as I know we are actually maxed at 100, but the devoted shelves once unlocked stay at 99 or 100 so when you drop back you have that shelf still until you get a chance to bump it back.
I really really wish we could just keep going forever! Be so wonderful to build up a safety margin when we're going to be away, but...
pretty sure it maxes at 100.

[@Sefria] - Ah, that's why I haven't been losing the shelves! Thank you. :)
And bummer, that means if I go on a vacation, I'll have to quest my way back up. :P It would be really cool if there was a tiny buffer (50 or so even). Maybe I should make a suggestion, haha.

Yeah I've been told the same thing... However, I do hope they bring in the addition of double reputation for daily quests if you purchase $20+ worth of gems, that would be a great help for when you have been away.
It would also be cool to have an additional level, say 125 reputation, which you can get to and turn the hearts into platinum, meaning you have maxed out and you will continue to have your devoted shelf for 25 days even if you don't do any daily quests.
Ultimately it's only an issue if you go on vacation, don't have internet or go on hiatus.
Another cool option could be having a "Vacation Mode" where you can freeze your quest screen for a specific period, say 7 days, and you can't do quests but don't lose any reputation for that period. Even if this were limited to only being able to be done once per month?

[@Poison] A vacation mode would be neat! I played another game where there was a vacation mode and it was really handy - though it used to be a lot more punishing because your pets could die really easily. They could get exhausted, depressed, not want to go out, fail to gather food if their skill was too low, and starve to death, all within the span of 24 hours. So... vacation mode was much more critical there. Here it's more of a "nice to have".
If vacation mode was implemented, I'd like to see a "cancel" option, too. Accidentally putting the wrong time, changing plans, and being locked out would be awful.

It would definitely be a cool option, provided it couldn't be used to essentially cheat (i.e. if you cancel the vacation mode, that day's reputation drop occurs immediately)
Personally I would like to see if, even if it were limited to once per year, as I would have to pretty much play for a full 24 hrs to catch up after I go on a cruise I have booked this year, just to be able to get whatever shelves I've earned back...
I could also see it having a benefit of encouraging people to come back... If somebody logs on after 2 weeks and they've lost all of their devoted shelves and know it could take a few days of hard work to get them back, is there a chance they just wouldn't bother?
