Tailoring materials
Tutorial TutorialTailoring materials 0
I've been looking for metal and enchanted tool materials for a while now, with -so far- no luck. I've been scouring the tailoring shops (both golden & Hope) while I'm online (I can't be on too much because school and... BUSY) Can someone point me in the right direction (i.e. Not online at the right times, looking in the wrong shops, ect.) please? It's for the Warrior's Aura and Scythe.

If I had to guess, I'd say your tailoring isn't a high enough level for them to show up in the shops! Metal is a level 10 material, so it'll only show up in its shops (sold by Andre, Celariel, Alban, Dione and The Wolf) if your tailoring is level 10. Enchanted tools material is level 9, so you need to be at tailoring level 9 for it to show up in its shops (sold by Celariel, Alban, The Wolf and Quintina). That, and the fact that they are both rare, means they're quite hard to get hold of. Rare items only show up in shops for a minute, on any multiple of 6 (so :00, :06, :12, and so on).
You can always put it on your wishlist or ask for help getting the items, but the only way to find them in shops is to have a high enough tailoring level.
The only other way I know of to get materials is to unmake stuff, which carries its own... complications. And requires you to have items made with the materials you're looking for, so it's a more convoluted process.
Hope this helps, and good luck getting what you need!

Oh, wait, I remembered another way to get materials you can't buy. You can assign your Kith the "Buy an Item" job. This isn't very efficient, however, as you only get one per Kith per day and pay the max price. But it is a way to get anything that is sold in shops (including shops and items you don't have access to) so I feel it's worth mentioning.

Another thing to keep in mind, especially if youre on mobile since its much less obvious there, is that theres different shelves for patterns and materials. On mobile you click the little text at the top of the box with all the items in it that says "Andre's Shop" which brings up a drop down menu to change shelves, and on desktop theres a little bar that says "Andre's Shop, Materials, Forum Posts, Details" and you can just click the text to change shelves.
