Agree with Shazz's post.

This lines up pretty much with my own unarticulated thoughts. Shuffle people who can communicate that will work for them. Skip people who either want to be skipped or are unable to comment at this time. Discuss things and don't decide for people who can communicate. Holding turns is absolutely a thing I would imagine coming up in a discussion of how to proceed but it is good to see it laid out in words as an option.


And, yeah, if there's anything else in our guidelines and etiquette lists that needs to be dragged out into the light and freshened up, let's do that!

I personally prefer having a separate channel for pings-for-who's-next and logistics, just because it would make it much harder to track who last posted and how long it's been since the last post if there's other conversation in rp-planning. But I also can deal with that issue since I know Dread feels Very Muchly Strongly about not adding channels at all, haha. Just voicing my thoughts for the record.

Thumbs up at redoing the RP etiquette and such for a nice end-of-caper end-of-year cleanup and refresh! Perfect timing here, haha.




This does make me wonder if it'd be worth doing a refresh of other RP organisey stuff like the PWC/DNM lists while we're at it?

There's some stuff of mine on there that I'd like to change, but I'm not sure which are also things other people would prefer to stay the same - plus I think there's some stuff left over from people who left the RP, too.

(At the very least, I think it'd be nice to maybe clean out the discussion of "can this be added/changed" so the list is easier to check without having to scroll + such.)

Oh! Thank you Mochi for bringing up the PWC/DNM lists! That's been something that's been on the back of my mind for awhile and somehow slipped my mind now! Please! There's been so many changes of people and additions/adjustments to the list that a tidy new list would be amazingly helpful!

Ooooh I second the PWC update as well! At least just to compose a nice new clean list of things. (Also, now we have the censor feature on discord, we can be clear with what can be simply censored and what needs a clear warning / out of chat link ?? )

Related question (which we made need to take back over to Discord): Is it easier/better and comfortable enough to just discuss what we need on a list in the PWC channel (probably with copious use of spoiler text) or would it be a useful idea to make a google form for people to go in a check off what existing items on the list apply to them, with a space to add more, or add a note about a change (ex: used to panic about spiders, now I only panic about spiders who are insufferably ironic about things)

I just like making forms....... it's a terrible sickness......

Ooh yes, forms is good. Also adds a nice layer of semi-anonymousness to it, in case there's something you want spoilered but don't wanna outright Say The Thing in chat.

I'm not sure if there's anything else on the subject of the PWC list, etc that folks might want to discuss that I might want to include on a possible form, but I did go ahead and draft a form. It's got some blanks or "uh?" bits in it right now, but basically what I have has:

- An explanation of the purpose of the form and quick overview of what's ahead, plus a suggestion that if the form doesn't work for people's brains for any reason that they can talk to a Mod (which ever mods were cool with it) or Magpie (form wrangler) in a DM or whatever works for them.
- Buffer image/question before the first real question.
- First real question outlines what a DNM is and people are invited to check as many boxes as they like. The list contains both PWC and DNM items.
- Second question, same as the first! Outlines what PWC is, invites you to click as many as apply, both lists are here.
- Third question invites people to add any new things they have (and mark as pwc or dnm) or to tell us any changes to topics already on a list.
- Final question is just another buffer image. It has a box to click now but I may do something different with it or test to see if I can have image but no question!

I should also be able to add server mods or PWC Deputies as collaborators if we want that.
