Klein watches with baited breath as Tera takes a drink from the glass of water he drew on the phone and a huge smile breaks out on his face at the successful idea.

"Oh, I'm happy that worked! I felt terrible, seeing you look at all these drinks. You.. You have some blue there though, right around your nose. Is that ink?"

As Tera opens and walks through the door, Klein ends up a bit disappointed as instead of being able to leave the phone, Tera ends up in a copy of the bar they're in now, complete with his own table.

"That does look nice, at least you've got a place to sit and all. We'll have to mess around with that drawing tool more when we get the chance, that worked surprisingly well. As for the phone in general... Have you always... Been a part of it? It feels like you're just as confused as the rest of us being here."

"...I do?" Tera wipes some of the water off his face and examines his paw. "...Oh hey. Thanks." He picks the eraser and uses it to clean his face. His widen a bit as Klein asks the question.
"...no. Not really." He says quietly.
"Was it that obvious?"

Klein takes another sip of the mint drink, suddenly thirsty again, and looks over at Tera in the phone, not sure how to keep going with the thought he had.

"It... I know that all of us seem to have been pulled from our own worlds and dropped here, without really much warning at all. At first when I heard you talking about that phone, I thought I was imagining things, but more and more it started to feel like you were hesitating every time something happened, like you didn't expect it or you weren't sure if it would work. I won't ask for how you got stuck in there, I guess that's not really any of my business, but at least between you and me, you don't have to worry about being 100% sure about things. I don't think any of us are".

As he's speaking, Gabe approaches the table again and smiles at them group. When Klein finishes talking, Gabe holds up the pitcher he was carrying at his side and gestures towards the glasses of water on the table and Klein nods, offering his glass towards the waiter.

"Anyone else need a refill?"

Tera looks a bit downcast.
"Yeah, I... don't actually know a whole lot about phones. Espescially not like this... With me stuck inside one I mean. It's... not something that comes up, generally. Our technology's pretty normal."

He lets that sit for a bit before realizing that he is sitting in a restaurant located on a scrap island in the low atmosphere with two real life fantasy people who would be impressed by a calculator and someone who's "normal" level of technology would make any Earth scientist drool.

"...er, I mean. Technically things like what I was pretending to be exist, but they're generally either pretty generic or very exclusive. And there's definitely none of... whatever this is." He gestures vaguely at everything around him.
"There's a bit more but uh. It's a bit heavy and just kind of raises more questions so. I'll bring it up if it seems important."

Rowan had sort of zoned out of the conversation. As Klein and Tera discussed the latter's current situation, Rowan eyed the cups that had been placed before him. He'd ordered a water glass, and a mint pitcher. He picked the smaller of the two, figuring the pitcher would be larger to match its name. Rowan had grown particularly thirsty over the course of the last hour, and in his attempts to remedy the thirst, he downed the contents of the small cup. The water had a very strong minty bite, leaving his mouth burning for a bit. The last effects of the drink's aftertaste hit Rowan just as Gabe looked around, asking, "Anyone else need a refill?"

Rowan's brain processed the situation for about two seconds before settling on a course of action. He looked at Gabe and said, "This drink, I like it!" Gabe smiled, glad to hear his recommendation was well-received, until he saw there was no more liquid in the glass. Gabe's brow furrowed ever so slightly, as Rowan continued. "Another!" Rowan yelled, as he slammed the glass down on the table. He then appeared slightly taken aback at his apparent aggression, and rephrased, "I would like another glass of your mint, sir."

This was like no other water Rowan had ever tried before. No ordinary water Rowan knew of could make a tavern appear to sway ever so slightly. He simply had to have a second round of this incredible drink! Gabe raised his eyebrow slightly, but thought it seemed Rowan had taken it well, and must have a significantly higher tolerance than he'd expected.

Klein notices Tera's change of mood and backpedals slightly, listening as Tera starts explaining his situation and slowly Klein starts to realize just how utterly lost they all are.

"Even the smallest bit of your... Technology is more than I've ever seen, at least from what I've seen of that phone so far. Maybe, on our way through where ever we are, we can find a way to get you out of there too, before we all get back home. Don't worry about going too into it, I... I don't think I'd be able to catch on to much of it if we got into the nitty gritty of the technology".

At that, he drinks what's left of his glass of water to help negate the affect of the alcohol and looks over at Rowan, surprised to see him draining his own mint pitcher in one solid gulp.

"Err.. Master Ramiry.. I'm not sure you should be drinking that quite as quickly.. Or that you should be getting a second right away. Here, just have some water after that and give it a minute before you slide onto the floor".

Raising an eyebrow at Gabe, he smirks and passes Rowan the glass of water nearest him. Klein notices his hand shaking slightly as he slides the glass over the table and a loud rumble comes from his stomach, empty save for a bit too much alcohol for this time of morning and some water.

"Say, Gabe, whaddya recommend for food around here? Can't just fill up on drinks, after all".

"...you know, it's kind of a relief to hear that? I mean, I was a little afraid of having to explain stuff in detail, so... yeah that might be for the best."
Tera looks at Rowan with some amount of mild concern. "Has... he not had alcohol before? Is that even a thing where you come from?"

Tera's question is suddenly cut off as the phone buzzes and shakes. He jumps and stumbles a bit as it happens. But then he smiles.
"...oh! I forgot to mention! I sent a message to my sister about this... she must have responded! can't believe the message went through..."
His tail starts wagging as he navigates to the texting app, muttering to himself about how the heck there's even service in this fantasyland.
The app opens. The message appears. Tera's tail slowly stops wagging as he trails off.
The phone displays a picture of a guy with messy brown hair, a round pair of glasses, and a red bandanna tied around his neck, standing in a ruined City with a rather large smile. A bit too large, in fact.
There's also some text.

"...That's..." Tera stares at the picture for a bit, tail starting to droop. "...that's me..."

Klein's eyes go wide at Tera's words, a whole world of possibilities coming to mind all of a sudden.

"Are you saying that that phone can send messages even across worlds? How can that be possible? Are they all linked somehow?". He begins to go on, a hundred questions buzzing around his head when he sees Tera's tail droop and he stops, looking confused.

"That's.. That's you there? In that picture? But... You're here. So... Who's that?"

Klein gently elbows Rowan, gesturing to the glass of water in front of him to make him drink it faster and points at the phone when he catches Rowan's eye, the picture of human-Tera still half on the phone.

The room around him continued to sway ever so slightly, as Rowan began to take notice of the others at his table again. Klein pushed a glass of water toward him, saying something along the lines of taking it slower, to which Rowan rolled his eyes but took a sip of the water. This water wasn't nearly as interesting as the other stuff, so he hoped the waiter returned with his second glass soon.

With a slight fog taking hold in his head, Rowan heard a buzz come from the cellular device now in Klein's hand, which intrigued Rowan. Even moreso as he heard first Tera trail off, then Klein grow concerned, before the cellular telephone was turned for Rowan to read. He stared at it confused for a good 15 seconds, before looking up at Klein, then back down at Tera. "Err... There is certainly much to take in here, but is it possible that whatever placed you in here, and looking like this, is now in control of your... actual body, in those ruins?" Rowan asked Tera, brow furrowing and ears drooping as his brain worked overtime.

Gabe stopped by the table, dropping off Rowan's second round, which he began sipping as he continued puzzling through what this message meant, and just how much danger Tera's sister might be in.
