Since it was clear Klein and Rowan were having a moment (And the old woman was somehow outpacing them on the way to the docks???) Tera was considering trying to climb up the icons on his home screen to see if he could reach one or two of the more entertaining apps on his phone in an attempt to take his mind off the fate of his sister. He'd managed to hoist himself up to the calculator on the second row of apps before there was another purple flash. He pauses from preparing to leap just in time to hear a piercing high-pitched noise. By the time he remembers that his ears were on top of his head instead of the side (and adjusts them accordingly), he's managed to slip off the calculator and fall back on the simulated ground. Mercifully, the noise stops quickly, and after a few minutes to regain his bearings Tera switches back to the Camera and starts peeking out the front lens to try to see what's going on. There's someone new there, just... summoning highly advanced technology from nothing? At least that what it looks like he's doing, anyway... Wait. Animal person. Swordsman. Mysterious old woman. ..(apparently) nonhuman companion. Secret nightmares. A man with anger issues and ridiculous advanced technology. ...Darn it his life really is just an anime now. He sighs. He never asked for this. He just wanted to plant flowers, and pet his rat, and explore a cool abandoned city without uncovering a horrifying existential revelation. He's brought back to reality by the sound of Klein and Rowan shouting. Thankfully that too was over quickly, and the new arrival introduced himself as Shin. "Um... Hello!" He says, not sure Shin can hear him. "My name is Tera... did you say something about grave danger? And... Lockbreakers?"

Anna grimaces at the loud noise, then dons her cloak and hat again. She moves close enough that she can hear but does not introduce herself. The movement definitely did not take as long as it should have, and there was... a slight glow?

Klein takes Shin's outstretched hand and shakes it, a wan smile on his face. "Alright, so I guess we got off to an interesting start, eh? Good to have you with us, Shin". He drops Shin's hand and walks over towards Rowan, Tera, and Anna, looking over at the docks that're closely approaching and peers over the cliff ahead, looking for a safe way down. After a few minutes going back and forth, Klein spots what could be a path of stairs leading the way down and points the others in that direction, then starts heading down himself, walking gently on the crumbly stairway. On his way down, his foot slips and he skids down a few stairs, stopping at a small landing and bends over, his hands on his knees, breathing heavily for a minute before straightening back out and calling back up to the others, "Hey! Be careful on your way down! These stairs are falling apart all around us". '[i]Of all the things I could find out I'm afraid of.. Why did it have to be heights?[/i]', he thinks, squeezing his hands into fists and slowly picking his way further down the stairs, eyes set on the next landing not too far away, '[i]good thing these don't go too far down... If any of us fall, we shouldn't be too injured...[/i]

Anna lags back behind the others- no need to rush so long as she keeps an eye out for the airships. She squints at the newcomer, trying to ascertain his motives. He certainly seems like somebody to keep an eye on, at the very least. She ducks as an airship comes zooming past, though this one doesn't really get near enough that that was strictly necessary. Her cape seems to shimmer slightly in the light, some sort of holo pattern, as she moves.

Seeing Klein take a deep breath and speak calmly to the boy, Rowan relaxes his stance, but not entirely letting his guard down, because this kid seemed like a loose cannon. However, a smile cracked across Rowan’s face as he saw Klein’s familiar fly at the kid’s mask, attempting to eat it. He covered his mouth as he attempted to stifle the giggles, but his tail betrayed him, as it swung back and forth quickly. [i]Come on Rowan, this kid has to take you seriously, at least to start. How else do you expect to keep him in line?[/i] Hearing chirps, a pair of orange-furred ears popped out of the quiver on Rowan’s back, followed quickly by a face, and then Rowan felt a set of paws climb up onto his shoulder, as Foxtrot came out of hiding. Rowan looked at his familiar, a fox-otter hybrid, and said, “Ah, so you snuck your way into my arrows this morning? I was wondering where you might have disappeared to, but I’m… honestly glad you’re in this mysterious place with me.” He scratched lovingly behind Foxtrot’s ears, comforted by his familiar’s presence. As the kid spoke up, Rowan was comforted by knowing the context for his desperation. Rowan extended his own hand to Shin, saying as they shook, “I’m Rowan Ramiry, Crown Prince of Animæ. It’s nice to meet you, though I do hope we don’t end up on the wrong foot again.” He makes a point to let his eyes linger just long enough to indicate this had better not occur a second time. Rowan then turned back around, finding Klein puzzling over a path to take down to the docks, and decides it appears to be just a one-person task. Once Klein settles on some stairs a small distance away from the group that lead down, Rowan follows immediately behind Klein as they begin their descent. His heart skips several beats as he hears a scuff and sees Klein almost go toppling in front of him, until he manages to just barely land safely on a landing. His heart feeling like it was beating out of his chest, Rowan takes the next several steps with significantly more care, until he reaches the landing and pats Klein on the back. “Hey… Are you alright? I’ll gladly take the lead from here if that would be easier.” But Klein was determined, and was already slowly beginning his descent to the next landing. Rowan followed closely behind, his mind racing as he tried to figure out what he could do if Klein slipped again. [i]Heavens, of course when magic would most come in handy…[/i] Having been disconnected from his Heart, the source of magic each person from his world was attuned to from a very young age, being in an unknown world without any magic was nowhere near an ideal scenario, but he was just going to have to make do. His eyes remained trained on Klein, watching for the slightest misstep so he could attempt to mitigate any significant falls.

Shin shook the hands of Klein and Rowan. His brain took a moment to register what Rowan said, and reacted as the man started following Klein down the stairs. "... Anime? You come from a place named... Anime?" His eyes stopped for a moment on Rowan’s ears and tails. "Actually, never mind. That makes perfect sense." He followed the two, and stopped when he noticed the crumbling, apparently slippery staircases they were descending. It looked like Klein had slipped and fallen to one of the landings. They seemed... Dangerous. Instead, Shin stepped towards the edge of the cliff. It was something of a fall, definitely, but he'd done worse, and he knew his equipment's limits. He could make that jump, easily. He took a couple of steps back and tapped a point on the side of his leg, causing the heels of his shoes to start glowing light blue. He then took a deep breath, ran towards the edge of the cliff, and leaped off.

Anna looked up sharply at the sound of scuffed feet, only to see the boy jump- that was not optimal whatsoever. Even if this lad was up to no good, as seemed likely... given enough time, anyone could reform... she decided to go after him, taking a bit of a running start and then dissolving into squares of white light, which... didn't... reappear...

Tera blinks. "...Wait, Rowan, did you say you're a prince?" And in the time it takes him to ask that question, Shin is jumping off of a cliff. "Wait, no-!" The old lady shortly follows, disappearing before she has a chance to fall. Tera can only stare for a moment before shouting "[i]What the heck was that?[/i] Are they OK?"

Klein, from his landing of the stairs, looks up in surprise as he hears someone take a running start, like they're about to jump from the cl- [i]Wait what?[/i] Shin appears off of the side of the cliff and Klein calls out as the teen jumps, his feet glowing an odd color as he falls. He sees Anna jump as well, but is even more shocked to see her disappear and dissolve into squares of white light that faded out after a few seconds. Klein skids his way down the rest of the stairs, jumping the last few and running towards Shin to make sure he's alright. "Shit! Kid, you alright? Better be happy that fancy suit of yours still works after all that nonsense with being dropped into a new world".

Shin fell down the side of the cliff. For the most of his jump, he was moving at a speed one would expect. However, as he approached the ground, he began to slow down, his boots creating an opposite gravity field. He gracefully landed, and the boots switched off. He turned towards Klein, who had barrelled down the crumbly stairs in a way that Shin considered, frankly, reckless. "Of course I'm fine! And, I mean, it's battle ready, it can take a beating. I've used more delicate stuff since I've gotten here, I don't see why the boots'd fail."
