[i]The young woman takes a step, and suddenly hundreds of tiny worms all over the ceiling begin to glow, revealing walls covered in sparkling crystals of all colors, shimmering translucently in the green-tinted light. But it also reveals the woman. Her long hair almost identical to Raine’s, a few freckles dotting her nose, stands Cya, scattered rainbow light dancing across her face. The captain huffs, making a quick slashing gesture with his hand. One of the officers darts forwards, sword sliding smoothly into Mat’s middle. Mat’s eyes widened before he slips from the bloody weapon, thudding to the floor. His dagger clatters along the wood, eventually resting a foot from Elois’s booted foot. The officer stoops, unfazed, cleaning his sword on the man’s coat before sheathing it. “You will come peacefully, or you will end up like that fool there. Any sign of resistance. . .” He leaves the implied threat dangling, and the Captain’s smile never touches his eye. He gestures again, and two officers rush from his side and to the bookshelf, pulling the books with the strange blue covers to the floor willy nilly.[/i]

"Did... I... interrupt somethi- wai- how- is thi- ca- oh- wha- Cy-...?" Raine looks confused. "Cya? How is- what the-"

Rhys looked back, "Great she ran off again." she nodded to the Kitsune. "Yes, we should. I don't think those kidnappers will be a problem anymore. We need to find Ms. Scarlet." All Rhys could think about was how long it had been since she was sent on this mission. She felt guilty for letting Lindsey be taken.

Elois glances toward the body with a grimace. "In all due respect, sir, do you really wish to cross the Salas house?" Elois tries to take a step back, plastering their blinding grin back on their face. "Can't I just give you the contraband, some money? A free bottle of our [i] finest [/i] wine? Call it a day?"

"Cya?! Is it really actually... you?!" Raine steps closer but, warily, doesn't react, just in case.

[I] "Oh Raine. Raine, it's really you! I've missed you so much!" Cya runs to Raine, arms open for a hug. Her eyes glow faintly blue in the light from the worms. The Captain spits on the floor. "Banned books, Harbored half-bloods, and now attempting. To bribe. The Civil Watch." He looks around. "Though. . . I suppose I can take off that last accusation for some wine. After all, it IS the best in the City." His officers snickered in anticipation, but the Captain's grim, eyeless smile never wavers. Seline nods slightly. "Shall I conjure the lights again, Mistress Rhys?" A barely audible whimper reaches Lexi's ears, and only she can hear. It sounds. . . Familiar.[/i]

"Do you want me to go grab that for you? Ha! Who am I kidding, what kind of host would I be to not?" With a fairly impressive speed, Elois side-steps the guards to head to the back. "Don't come in! Trade secret!" They slam and lock the door. Weighing their options, Elois sighs. They couldn't exactly run, considering they are now a wanted criminal, bribing doesn't work, a showing of rank doesn't work, and fighting would be a death wish in itself. Elois calls over their mouse, sets him in their pocket, and grabs three bottles of wine. Rushing out of the room, Elios quickly hands the wine to the captain. "Sorry, that took so long! I had to find the finest wine for my finest customers..ha..ha.."

"M-mistress?" Rhys says a bit confused. "I-I. I don't think so. It would help us see, but I'm worried about what's in this cavern." She looked over to Walker but got no response. "It's your choice." She looked towards the caverns. Her daggers clicked together a few times spelling out a few words. 'Feel around you. What is it like.'

[i]Seline nods again, feeling the heat signatures. "I believe we are safe, for now at least. The caverns have had their fill." He waves his hand, and the glowing lights appear. One streaks off into the darkness, finding Lindsey. The vines slow, dragging Lindsey at a reasonable walking pace. One slides over to her face, feeling it curiously. Its leaves brush lightly across his eyes and stop. The vine wraps back around her wrist. The Captain reaches over and grabs the wine, handing two bottles back to his officers. They pop the corks without hesitation, drinking heartily. Wine slops down their faces and drips to the floor. "MEN! Be courteous and SI'DOWN. I'll get some mugs." He stalks into the kitchen and is in there for a strangely long amount of time before emerging. The officers bury their faces in the mugs. One or two of them yawns. [/i]

Elois is quick to mop up the spilled wine, hurridly dashing around the tavern to hand the officers refills. Maybe if the group gets drunk enough Elois can escape? "Do you guys want anything to eat? Or other drink options! It's all on the house, a final bang before you take me away!" As they speak, Elois props Mat's body against the wall.
