Shimmerpaw looked as Thrushmoon entered the den. "I-I don't know if I c-can. I'm still not the best with medicines. I usually go out to collect herds."

"You can't," Sunspots growled. "You can't fix death. If only some cat had seen the fox cub, I'll bet one of the foolish apprentices decided not to bother it when out hunting and then it attracted the older one! Fools, amiright, Shimmerpaw?" He wipes away a tear. [spoiler]Nothing personal, this is just Sunspots' personality. He doesn't know anything.[/spoiler]

Shimmerpaw hung her head. "I- I'm sorry..." she murmured. [spoiler]It's fine. It's just you roleplaying your character.[/spoiler]

"What're you sorry for? Maybe it's some fool apprentice's fault MY apprentice is dead, but... not yours, you're too smart!"

"Sunspot..." she starts, "I-I..." she almost starts to cry, then blurts out, "I found the cub, but didn't know what do, so I went to get Aspenfall, then we came back to escort it away and the fox was there, and- and," she starts to sob. 'Why did you join this clan in the first place? All you've done is get innocent cats killed. It's your fault, all your fault. Fox kit would be alive if it weren't for you, so would Aspenfall. It's all your fault.' she thought to herself. [spoiler]Wow, packing on the guilt. I just realized this is how I talk to myself. Geese. This is brutal. ✨Time for emotional scaring!✨[/spoiler]

Thrushmoon pads over to Shimmerpaw. "It's NOT your fault, it's the foxes fault...s? Ah. well..." Even mr. Grouchpants Sunspots didn't look upset for once.

Despite Thrushmoon's words, Shimmerpaw still felt the guilt weighing on her shoulders. "Thank you for trying to make me feel better, but it was my fault. I should have- I should have, well," she stopped looking down. She didn't know what to do with the fox cub when she had met it. What could she have done? Then again, what could she have done at the fight? Her claws were still filed down from when she was a kittypet. She wasn't much for attacking. She lifted her head towards Sunspot, "I'm sorry."

Sunspot seemed not to care. He never seemed to care. "Half-moon meeting tonight," he meowed gruffly. "We'd best be off. Come on, Shimmerpaw."

Shimmerpaw hung her head a bit as she walked alongside Sunspot. Her collar jingled as she walked.

"Why do you keep the collar?" Sunspot asked.
