Samantha entered the room and started with Rebecca's hair. This was probably the make it or break it day for Becca and Samantha was going to stop at nothing to give her all the chances she could get. If something good didn't happen for them today, Samantha feared her friend would never recover.

"I think you should assert yourself a little today. I know it's hard but you'll never forgive yourself if you don't try everything, right? Just don't let him tell you no." Over the years they'd all witnessed multiple times that Tristan was powerless to refuse a request from their mom. Rebecca just needed to somehow channel that kind of energy into her feelings for Tristan. There had to be a way.

Samantha finished Becca's hair and showed her in the mirror. "It's beautiful, right? Let yourself be confident." Sam smiled and gave Becca a hug. "If this works, we can be sisters for real. That would be the best thing in the world!"

Becca looked over at Samantha,"You know I'm not the dominant type." She said, looking nervous,"I worry if I push too hard he'll hate me even more."

She looked surprised when he hair was finished and smiled,"Wow..." She had never seen herself look so beautiful before. She hoped this would work.

Once she got dressed and waited for Samantha, she went downstairs to have breakfast.

Tristan was already downstairs when the girls came down. His breakfast consisted only of an apple that was already in his hand half eaten. He'd learned from a fairly young age that it wasn't suitable for his training to have a large breakfast, unless he wanted it coming back up after a rigorous workout.

A large picnic basket sat on the table and Tristan's mother was adding an explanation to nearly everything inside. The sight of Rebecca stopped her mid-sentence, though. "Rebecca, sweetheart, you look stunning! Doesn't she just look stunning, Tristan?"

Until now, Tristan's back had been to the door but he turned to look at his mother's request. His eyes widened upon seeing her. "Y-yeah..." Once again his heart pounded from inside his chest. There was no way this was one of Rebecca's dresses, but judging from the girlish smile on Samantha's face, he could tell this look was her doing. These women just couldn't make things easy on him, ever. "I should go get the horses ready. It is a lengthy trip." He nodded to his mother and Rebecca, but glared at his sister as left the room and headed for the stables.

Becca blushed lightly at the praise from their mother, "Thank you so much." She said softly. Her heart fell when she saw how quick Tristan wanted go get away from her. She glanced at Samantha, a bit unsure, before having a very light breakfast herself,"Maybe this isn't a good idea." She murmured softly

Samantha shook her head with a smile. "The best things in life always take some risk. Just keep breathing and make sure you let him know what you want." As much as she tried to keep Rebecca's spirits up, even she was starting to wonder about Tristan. It's not that he hated Rebecca....but maybe he was just gay or something. If those two don't come home as a couple, his next sentence better be that he likes boys because this little game was getting exhausting. She could only imagine what it was doing to Rebecca. "Come on. Let's eat some breakfast, then you go have an amazing day. Okay?"

"I'll try." Becca said softly before sitting down to breakfast. She didn't take eat too much, partly because her stomach was in knots about the way this day could go. She tried to ignore her anxiety about the day and keep a happy face.

She finished her breakfast not long after and sat with Samantha, waiting for when it was time to go.

Samantha finished her breakfast and walked with Becca outside where Tristan had two horses ready. The picnic basket and Tristan's sword were attached to the saddle of one of the horses. The other horse had nothing but a special saddle for ladies in skirts.

He offered his hand to Rebecca in order to help her up on the saddle but was pulled aside by Samantha. She spoke to him in a hushed voice, sure that if Becca heard it she'd be too embarrassed to go anywhere. "I swear Tristan if you mess things up with her today there won't be another chance..."

"Stop meddling..." He pulled himself away from his sister and back over to Rebecca, once again offering his hand to help her up before mounting his steed as well. Maybe a day away from his mother and sister would do them all some good.

Becca thanked him and carefully got onto the horse, steadying herself as she took the reins. She was a good rider and loved horses so she was looking forward to the ride. She gently patted the horse's neck,"Good to see you again girl." She said softly, recognizing the horse she learned to ride when she was only seven years old.

Tristan made sure Rebecca was situated on her mare and was just about to slick his heels into his stallion when his mother called out to him. "Tristan!"

He rolled his eyes, practically done for the day before it even had a chance to start, recomposed himself and turned to face his mother. "Yes, mother?"

"Do you have to bring that dreadful weapon along with you? Our lands are safe. I don't believe you'll need it." Tristan narrowed his eyes at her but didn't argue. He was already done with trying to argue, he just untied his sword from the saddle and tossed it into the grass. He then kicked his heels into the horse's sides and left before anyone had the chance to say anything else to him. He didn't stop or slow down until he was sure he was out of earshot from the house. It was there that he waited for Rebecca's mare to catch up.

Becca looked worried when Tristan left his sword behind, but didn't want to cause any problems. As he rode off, she had her horse follow him, making sure not to push the kind mare too far.

She looked around as they traveled, admiring the landscape as they traveled,"It's just beautiful out here." She said as they traveled, mainly to herself,"I wish I had views like this at home."
