They used to group, but then as we added more items the groupings didn't always work any longer (like all the socks weren't together any more because more socks were uploaded much later), and we got this current mess of a non-system.

I really dislike it.... even if they weren't grouped properly if they'd all just STAY STILL then I could learn it and find things. But since they jump around on you all the time there's just no hope of effectively using it any longer.

I used to be staff on a site and our items ordered by layer ID, so whatever appears first in your inventory would be on the back-most layer if equipped...

It could get messy with certain items, though... Like if you have 200 items which equip on the same layer, good luck O:

(And there are like 300+ layers, too :/)

There was some logic somewhere in the decision, I'm sure... but it just escapes me. Most recent things at the beginning, oldest at the end sounds all very well and good but in a system designed so that people are encouraged to have a lot of stuff all the time...

@Sefria Yeah I get what you're saying, especially when you're looking at quests for two areas, and looking at adding in tailoring on top of the two kitchens... It could become extremely messy O:
