Shops having trouble restocking

So while stalking for the new apparel, I've run into some issues with restocking I have not run into before. With the page active at a restock rollover, the items will disappear and restocking... text will show up for a few seconds, then the previous common items will appear all with 0 time stamps. The store will look like the image below-
![]()
At this point I have to force a refresh, sometimes multiple times, to prompt an actual restock. I was originally inclined to blame my internet, but today is the first time I have run into this problem, and my internet has not changed since the automatic restocks were added. Its not a huge problem, but does take some time, especially if it takes multiple refreshes.
I'm currently using google chrome Version 56.0.2924.87 (up-to-date) on a mac.

Our servers were having some trouble earlier this evening, so it might be due to that - is it still happening for you?

Just checked with this last restock, and the problem still persists, although I wouldn't be surprised if the servers were still a little iffy. It would make sense if it was a server issue now that I think about it.

Have you also tried refreshing your image cache for the website? I'm not sure if that would have an effect on the restocks, but... maybe? Since there's so many images for the items now?

Cache has been cleared, and I am currently on university wifi (unlike last night on my home wifi), and everything is still the same. It does pretty consistently though become able to restock (with the hard refresh) at the 5:35 minute mark of time left over till the next restock. I also just tested in Safari and the exact same thing happens- does that sound like the server is just not connecting at first?

Hmmn, I can't replicate the problem without making it a deactive tab. (Google chrome stops processes on unactive tabs to speed up the active one)
Might be something to do with the fact you're on a Mac??? //flops over I am not a debugger

Maybe Macs are weird and like to not work correctly, especially mine.
Something I did notice is if I am not waiting on the page, but actually click on a shop from anywhere on site anywhere between initial restock and 30 seconds in, it does the same thing, so it seems like it just doesn't want to communicate right away.

I can actually affirm this. I thought maybe that was just the intention, considering I haven't used the shops at any point before this most recent update. But it seems like the earliest point in time I can actually vew the new restock is 15 seconds into the new stock? Like, the rare items have only 45 seconds left, no matter whether I pop into a new store or just refresh. Sounds like the same problem Dreadnoughtus is having.

Hmm. Yeah, it sounds like the server that manages the restocking is just so busy trying to restock all the many stores we have now (over 1,000 items to assign every 6 minutes!) that it has some trouble communicating until it's done with the restocks in all the stores. This might be fixed when we increase our server size (which is coming up later this year) but I will brainstorm how to reduce that time in other ways.
Again, thanks for reporting and for the detailed checks on different computers and such!!

I wanted to give a quick (and good) update- I reset my NVRAM on my computer today and it seems to have fixed the restocking problem, at least for me- stores now automatically restock again, now with only a 5-10 second delay. So yay, not really a bug then, just coincidence that my computer started acting up after the last item update!
