WHOSE READY FOR SOME CONSPIRCY THEORIES
Sofrom one of these event quests we get "…kzzszttzzsssmic Solarium transmitting a message through the Black Hole, requesting urgent assistanssszztZSKSKKttt…"
Okay okay so there's a Solarium which like... Essentially a Solarium is just a place made of glass to let sun in so like... flip if this is a whole soceity living in a glass castle but remember that one time moch (i think) wanted all that solarpunk stuff
If this isn't a space society i will cry
BUT WHAT MATTERS TO ME is this word right here "kzzszttzzsssmic"
There aren't actually a lot of relevant words that end with mic
Now, granted, -ic is just a suffix that turns nouns into adjectives, like making economy into economic, so this might be a made up word and welll... i guess if shakespeare can do it, so can remnants of the lost universe we've never met before...
But I do have some theories
I propose "Cataclysmic"
or
"Seismic"
THINK ABOUT IT

Now onto this Narrates theory everyone thinks I have
A couple nights ago I happened to have...A hopefully not prophetic dream where this new event was the Narrator's return
Where we met an NPC that was just like a person wrapped in bandages with a face drawn on it to look like a robot like this : ]
And that was the narrator
now, this doesn't seem likely, BUT if you do meet a man that's wrapped in bandages and has a face drawn on that looks like a robot, it is probably the narrator in disguise

WHO IS RiGBy?????
it's a designation so that probably stands for something
robots always have initialisms and acronyms
Probably Rid Green Bluey?
Rigorous Gatsby Boy?
Ritual Granola Byproduct?
Red is Green Blue you?
Ronald is Good Boy?

i mean the “black hole” bit in one of the quest complete dialogues all but confirms it’s in space
so maybe this is a research craft manned entirely by robots? i mean, with the amount of mars rovers, it’s def a possibility

This is tattered weave...black holes can happen anywhere
Imagine a place where space does not exist
a remnant without space
like a void remnant
just void
and then a black hole appears
but then again maybe they just think it's a black hole, but it's actually an attack by the tatters
or by narrates
dressed as a robot
I mean if you're only prepared for black holes, but then something happens like a black hole, but is not a black hole, how do you categorize it?
Omg anyone remember the plot of Bioshock? That, but instead of it being underwater, it's in space, and instead of a strike betwen human workers and human elite, robot and cyborg workers versus human corporate goons

If you count the Z and S having the same sound in that mess of noise, it has the same number of syllables as Cataclysmic. That’s where I’m thinking of.

Yeah what threw me off was the tt in the kzzszttzzsssmic cause the ssss and zzz are like buzzy noises, but i don't really associate t with that so I thought cataclysmic would work
wow, shazz likes robots, space, and aliens? so surprised. golly. gee. wow.iloveyou

Oh I actually thought that the black hole was their word for the tatters, but maybe i haven't been paying enough attention

This is what I thought as well, since the tech was found at the edge of the Tatters and the transmission mentions sending a message through the Black Hole.
But I agree this almost certainly confirms most likely a space themed remnant, at the very least a sci-fi one.

The Narrator is really Fontaine. You solved the mystery!
But seriously, that would be pretty cool. We already overthrew one dicktator, we can do it again!
