Book Club? 2
So who here would be interested in some sort of book club? I don't really have much of a plan as of yet, but i'm thinking it would be a fun thing to set up and want to see how many people here would be interested.
Like, it would probably be an once a month thing where we collectively decide on a book then 'meet up' to talk to each other about the details. we can pick topics of discussion and compare what we liked and such.

I am interested!
Er.
With the proviso that the book chosen isn't a particularly gory horror or true-crime one, because those mess up my sleeping habits so I steer clear of those.
But pretty much anything else, I'd be up for!

You could probably count me in, too.
I'm a bit slow on physical books, but I can finish on time to discuss books with others. None of my friends are big readers and I would love to have people to discuss books with.
And I'll echo Sefria, no horror or crime, please and thank you :)

I love all books and read regularly anyway, so I'm definitely on board! Just ping me if we ever decide any concrete plans!

I could be counted on to assign, particularly if it's Victorian, Edwardian, fairy tale collections, graphic novels, ethics, or monster fiction, since I, erm, teach that? And no one better than a university professor to find 'free' ways to share books with stude-- I read a large and eclectic amount of fiction and non-fiction so I don't get boxed in by my assignations, but I also am not uniformly accessible, and I also fear I'd come into book club as a teacher, not as a peer. :( If anyone, by the way, specializes in something I don't know about, be it horticulture or diseases or Aboriginal studies, I'd love for you to volunteer something to read about and teach ~me~ in turn!
Hmm, ZuBug, are you riffing a OnePunchMan costume?

I'm kinda busy, but if we keep it casual, I'm still in.

I'm interested. I joined another book club on another website. I think if it was casual I'd be able to do it too. I read more fantasy or YA Romance kind of things but I'm willing to give any book a shot. c:

Yay!
Okay what if we all suggest a book, and then use an RNG to decide?
(Or use an RNG to decide the order and do all of them. I dunno. Feel free to speak up, here, and suggest alternatives)

I like both ideas. Maybe we could make a list, so we have an idea.
But I kind of like just focusing on one because maybe new people will join and we'll have to do the RNG all over again and make that list of all the books. So it all depends.
Well, I'd have to think of a book I'd want to read again. But in my other book club we're(there's only me and another person right now) reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman.
