Just got back from my trip.
I ended up taking three taxis over the course of the weekend. The first one went rather badly for reasons I'm not going to go into, but the next one was fine and the third one was okay.
I really want to thank everyone who helped me out on this forum. Looking back at the advice my dad gave me when I asked for his help, everything would have gone horribly wrong had ya'll not given me advice.
Thanks for all the support. c: c: c:

I am glad to hear that at least 2 of the 3 taxis went all right, sorry the first one went terribly. I hope other than that the rest of the weekend was a lot of fun!

Im a little late on returning to talk, Sorry! But I did want to congratulate you on your successful week out!
I see now I missed an opportunity to calm some more of your fears. I work in a hotel and could have helped you through how that experience would go. Nonetheless, I hope it went well too.
If you ever need more travel advice, I have a lot of experience there! As I said, I work the front desk at a hotel, but I was also in a Long-Distance Relationship for a year and a half, so we did a fair amount of traveling.
I suffer a minor bit of agoraphobia, so traveling, alone, was terrifying. (Even with someone I get the jitters.) but I find it gets easier and easier with practice when you see how routine things are.
Take Care~ And Well Done! :)

Woops, sorry I missed this, but also Taxis are one travely thing I've never had a lot of experience with. The first one I ever took was because I had a situation with a friend being too afraid of a bus, and needing to get somewhere ASAP. I wish I had this forum back when I first had to call that taxi.
But also, i am sO thankful for Uber/Lyft/ other phone gps crowdsourced taxi like services. It helps my budget knowing the estimates ahead of time, and I actually feel far safer in them than Taxi Taxis??? I dunno why, maybe because I know the tech keeps track or because I know the route myself ahead of time?
That being said, if I can bus/train it, I'm gonna.
