Tara-me, the character, then also forced other ships to occur like Tails and Fiona, with her magic, eventually taking over the floating isle. After a few months reveling in my entitlement, I then realized that mind control was not the proper way to make friends. Tara-me became the name of my inner demon, and I became a better person. This was a cautionary tale about the potential dangers of self shipping.

Other than Grey, my most recent self insert occurred for the TV series Lucifer, when Uriel was taunting him. Luci was so upset and heartbroken that I felt a righteous fury and wanted to protect him from further harm. So I imagined myself as protective big sister Azrael coming to rescue him. A good example of a non-romantic self ship.

Honestly, as long as it's not full on Mary Sue, I don't see a problem with self shipping. Just put a little effort into it and never resort to mind control.

I'm reading all these self-ships you all have and I'm crying with joy on the inside. None of my real life friends feel me on this, and I don't see my convention buddies often enough to bond about them.

I'm way passionate about my love for Dragon Age, and my love for Cullen since Origins as a wee tower mage. If I have to be honest, I like him a bit better than Alistair. Though, I ship myself with Solas when I want to feel dangerous. Platonically Dorian hands down. And I want to hear Fenris just talk to me all day.
