A theory...
Tutorial TutorialA theory... 7
So with all this commotion and everyone scrambling to try and punch the Everstorm in the cloud having face, I want to bring up a topic that has nothing to do with that what-so-ever.
I think [@Lycus] is a werewolf. Now, before you cut me off, let me lay out some of my theories.
1) Hates sunlight, bit of a shut in.
2) Lives next to the dorms.
3) Always wears a turtleneck.
4) Keen sense of adventure.
5) Social Equivalence of a ball of dryer lint.
POINT 1 : People who spend most of their nights awake tend to hate the sun, which is entirely understandable. Lycus being a night owl makes perfect sense, you sleep when you can, you wake when the heed of science calls. But what if, stay with me I see you going for the door, what if being a night owl is a learned habit from transformations? Nothing terrible or boohoo about it, but what if waiting up at night to feel that rush in your blood just makes you prefer nocturnal hours. Also anyone who shifts in a world like this might want to keep it secret, so it makes perfect sense to stay up nights and be a shut in. The fact he loves science so much just gives him something to do!
POINT 2 : Where better to live when you might wake up howling then next to a bunch of rowdy kids in a dormitory who you KNOW are going to stay up all hours making noise, curfew or not! A huge lab full of space is perfect for his transformations/passion. An empty lab to run circles in until he exhausts himself, full labs to run tests!
POINT 3 : Boy you must be dying! Wear a short sleeve at least once. Now it could be he wears this because he likes it. Or! He wears it because he likes it AND it's big and baggy and can hide his tail against his back beneath that sweater. Or under the lab coat if he's feeling a little annoyed. Also say he gets like a skinned elbow from rough play during transformation, easier to hide that.
POINT 4 : From what I know, werewolves like adventure. They like roaming the world and seeing sights and chasing the moon wherever it may go. Lycus has always wanted to find new places, prove we aren't alone. Maybe prove he isn't the only werewolf? I mean I doubt Piper and Nic share his affinity, but werewolf Piper makes just as much sense! ( An arcade backroom for turning, noise covered up by all those games, suspicious. ) Using his passion helps alleviate that sense of wanderlust.
POINT 5 : This isn't really a point about him being a werewolf, I just want him to get out more and make new friends when he's ready. I know right now we've got bigger issues, and I'm all for solving them, but still. I'm here for late night hangouts if you ever need a friend Lycus, me and my Kith are happy to introduce you to movie night.
EDIT(S):
POINT 6 ( Thanks [@Club] ) : I like a lycanthrope This right here!
POINT 7 : Lycus is a Greek translation for Wolf.
POINT 8 : All these notes and stories scattered around the thread.
POINT 9 : Page two, possible "photographic" evidence of a startled werewolf being startled and universally cute.
Point 10 : More than I have this theory, and you know that when more than one person thinks something, that must mean something good! Here is a full thread of extra points!
In conclusion!
Lycus is probably a boss werewolf scientist alumni in a family of boss werewolves of humans pass it on. Maybe once things settle he can use his possible werewolf powers of smell to help us locate our friends in the Reef, or any of the students who went missing during the rescue trials.

I hadn't seen this before but it's definitely going in the evidence pile! Even if it's just adorable fluff.

hmmm...
"again" starts with the letter "A"
What else starts with the letter "A"? The Alphabet!
How many letters are in the alphabet? Twenty six.....
How many letters in the word "again"? Five!
26 + 5 = 31
How many days are in most months? Thirty one!!!
What happens once a month?! THE FULL MOON
WEREWOLF.

[@Lycus] How did this go the first time around? It must be a popular occurrence for you.
