A Bank?
Tutorial TutorialA Bank? 2
Someplace where we could put extra shards or something so we could save up and prevent ourselves from using them?
I know I desperately need a place like that xD
Maybe it could bring in a new NPC?

I think this was mentioned somewhere else as well, but I would still love a bank.

Omg, yes please! I would just love to pop in Shards and forget about them, least I get tempted by an impulse buy.

I have no impulse control and at the rate I am going I will never be able to purchase a stovetop.
A bank would be fantastic.

Guys? Can't you just start a trade with someone and add shards to it to keep yourself from using them? You could cancel the trade when you needed them for something. Or maybe there's a way to start a trade and not send it and let you keep adding/taking them out. Dunno.
Would that not work?
I guess, feel free to try it with me, so long as you let me know the result of the experiment.

Currently trying this right now with someone, and here's the stuff I've learned so far:
You can't make a trade with yourself.
You can't start a trade and never send it.
You can't edit your trade after you've sent it.
I'm going to see if I can edit my half after the other person 'accepts' it, and will update further, but really so far it doesn't seem to be a super viable solution, as it's dependent on the other party as well if you want to make alterations to your shard amounts.
[EDIT]
After they accept, you cannot make alterations. This only would work if you had a solid friend who would make a lot of trades with you and you would never finalise them so your money would be locked in place.
Which could get out of hand really quickly, but is still an option.

I'm just thinking about how all those bank trades would look. Every time you want to make a deposit you'd just open a new trade.
Not very efficient.
