I just joined today, and I must say I'm very impressed. I heard about TW from flight rising :) So far everything seems great, a bit confusing but I'm sure I'll get used to it.
I've read through the tutorial but any tip from older players would be greatly appreciated!

Tips from an experienced pro eh? Well, if you are patient you can get expensive cooking equipment for 1000s of shards less. And cooking is a good way to get up your kith's power/speed/guard stats if you aren't a big gamer

I'm also hosting a movie night tonight!
I have a newbie orientation guide which needs filling in, but links to helpful player-created resources. :)
The most important thing in this game is obviously to have fun, but if you want to get started earning shards and items you can quest (Account>Quest Log) for NPCs! There are a few quests which award really easy shards/items. If you're having trouble on a quest, just decline it, because you won't receive another quest until you either complete or decline it!

My tip have to be...Talking on the forums is actually a great way to make some free shards. Every post on a 1 minute cool down awards 50 shards.

Best tip I can give you is Hoard like crazy until you 100% understand all that TW has to offer. It may not seem like much but every little book, food item, and toy counts to making your Kith grow!
