Hello!
Tutorial TutorialHello! 1
I’m new to this game, but I’m really enjoying it! I do have a few questions though, if you wouldn’t mind answering them!:
Do you have to wait for every item you need to cycle into the shops? Every crafting recipe, crafting item, and item for a quest?
Is there a true exploring aspect, or is it just interacting with NPCs?
Is there any way to make shards other than playing games?

Hi, welcome to the game! :D
1. Technically you do! But there is also the marketplace under the community tab where you can search for items to buy, and many quests will reward them after completion! This also applies to the crafting stuff. But many users will be happy to make stuff for you or gift it, so be sure to add to your wishlist!
2. There is an exploring aspect kinda! There are more remnants than just Hope out there. If you click Explore, you can see a page with the available remnants. By doing quests with NPCs and unlocking secrets, you can get these remnants and discover more of the story.
3. Yes! Many quests reward shards (once you're more established many players get a majority of shards from quests actually), you can sell stuff on the MP, and posting also gives shards! You get 50 shards every time you post with a 1 minute cooldown. :D

Welcome to Hope! <3
In addition to Hero's answer - you can also get your Kith to buy items from the shops for you. On the Kith Allies page, there's a dropdown near each Kith - from there, you can ask your Kith to do things like buy an item, or gather shards, or help an NPC.
If you choose to buy an item, you'll give your Kith the money for the item and be given it the next day. It's slow, but very useful if you can't get an item or aren't a high enough crafting level to buy it.

That’s super cool! I know you can add an item to your wishlist from the little markets, but are there other ways to add items to your WL? Like, if I wanted to add a certain food or clothing item and not the recipe, but the item doesn’t naturally stock, if there a way to add the item to you wishlist?
Alright! The quests seem a little difficult at the moment, but that’s probably just because I’m new XD
Is that so? Well, remind me to be super active on the forums here! Thank you for helping me out~

That’s actually a really cool aspect! I’m going to have to do that, thanks for the tip!

You can add items to your wishlist on the Wishlist page as well - it's found under the Account menu - or from other pages of items (such as other players wishlists or galleries). You can also add items to your wishlist if someone posts them as an item code on the forums, such as Spirit Headphones for example! (Those codes don't work if you open in a new tab, as a warning)
As an extra note from me - pinging is a little different on this site! You have to surround the name in [square brackets] (such as [@Himochi] ) for them to work, because some usernames have spaces.

[@EmeraldJubilee] (To ping, use [ brackets around the username! It's a bit confusing to get used to but it works haha)
Yes! If you go on the account drop down, there's the wishlist. From there you can search for ANY item on site! Not only will it let you add them to your wishlist, but you can see where they stock and what rarity they are too! You can also do this on the My Reputation page under quests I believe.

Alright, thank you! The different pinging system makes sense, and it’s pretty cool that it enables spaced UNs, but it’s going to take a little bit of getting used to! XD Thank you for you help!

Thank you, I was wondering about that! It is pretty odd, but it does look kinda cool. Thank you for the help with my WL, I’m going to spend an hour looking through the things I can put on it now XD
