Oh no, time to put myself out there

Hello everyone :)!
My username may be Barbrabub, but please call me Barb.
I'm generally a 'to-myself' person, but i'm hoping to escape that and meet some new people here! I may be a bit reserved at first, but i promise, I can talk for hours when I start to warm up to people.
I can come across to a lot of people as sightly 'air-headed'. or distant in person, but I'm usually lost in thought; I'm a typical day dreamer.
Apart from the deeply personal stuff, i guess I'm an Overwatch addict. I play very frequently and I'm an avid supporter of it's e-sports scene. If i had to pick a favourite character, it'd most likely be Lucio. He's such a positive, upbeat person (and he's seriously fun to play).
I have a deep love for music and I have aspirations of possibly making a career out of it some day. I can be found scouring youtube at 4am, listening to some chill, lo-fi emo tracks. Along with this, I'm in love with math-rock and post-rock. Also, any track that has a loud, booming, over-driven bass guitar, that's slightly doom-esque, will probably make me fall in love with the song.
This isn't really a passion, but i'm a lover of creepy, or unusual things. Not really sure what else to say about this, but I love tales of odd folklore creatures, strange real-world happenings, or anything that falls into the uncanny valley.
I hope i haven't said too much and scared you all away! I can't wait to get to know everyone in the community :)!
No matter what time of the day it is, I hope the rest of it is lovely.
P.S. I have a terrible sleeping pattern. It's like, nearly 6:30am. If anyone has tips on how to fix a sleep cycle, it'd be very much appreciated.

There's actually a pretty big crowd of insomniacs and others with wonky sleep-schedules on here.
I think mostly people just cheer each other on when it comes to resolving to do better, and we nag at each other when we see people on at a should-be-asleep-in-their-timezone time.
There might be some stuff in the Life Advice thread on it?
Not sure how useful it was to anyone though, when it gets right down to it; not a lot of feedback.
I should go check that again, thanks for the reminder!
Also, welcome. I'm bad at preambles and introductory polite small talk, and usually just plunge into the middle (or end) of things, sorry about that. Hope you enjoy Hope -and the whole Tattered Weave 'verse!
:D
I'm afraid I'm not familiar with Overwatch myself. Other than seeing a few references here and there. (Is that the one with this 'drift' thing which seems to be more of a 'compatible psyches' thing than anything related to the usual definitions of the word?)

Welcome to Hope, Barb! I can totally relate to being "to myself," but I've recently made it a goal of mine to interact more with the people here. Everyone here is incredibly nice, and you get shards for posting on the forums, so there's no reason not to! Good luck on that!

Welcome to Hope! <3
You've probably already found out, but people here are super friendly, so no worries about joining in the forums. If you need any help, want advice, or anything else, be sure to ask! <3
Lucio is a good fave. A+ top quality son. (Though Zenyatta is my Big Fave haha)

Welcome!
I also love lo-fi and creepy things! (Though stronger on the creeps than the lo-fi.)
I'd appreciate music recs for doom-esque songs, if you'd like. I'm trying to build a dnd playlist and doom songs are exactly what it needs!
Also! What's your favorite cryptid and/or creepypasta? (Mine are the Fresno Nightcrawlers and One in the Oven.)

Yooo! I love Creepypasta! I know you didn’t ask me, but my favorite Creepypasta is this one that’s like… I can’t for the life of me remember the name, but it’s this one where this guy gets on a night train, (or maybe it’s a bus…?) and there’s all sorts of freaky [woops…censored…] on it! It’s awesome, and I wish I could recommend you it, but I can’t remember the name. I’m gonna look for that one right now, I’ll get back to ya,
