Now that I've finished the tutorial, I do actually have a question that as far as I can recall wasn't really covered; what are kith abilities?

Im pretty sure kith abilities are their stats, basically? I could be wrong

Hmm. That might make sense. Mostly I've noticed that they can be rewards in some of the games, so I wasn't sure how that whole process worked or if they were stored somewhere or what.

Yup, abilities will mean their stats - I know they're referred to as abilities in some of the games, so I think the terms are interchangeable. (It might specifically mean the Power/Guard/Speed stats though?)

If you do receive a stat/ability as part of a game, then, is that automatically applied to your active kith, or is there some other process?

Yep when you receive the points in a game or through quests its automatically applied!
