Hello! c:
Tutorial TutorialHello! c: 0
Just here to sink my claws into another petsite so I can find more excuses to procrastinate instead of organizing bookshelves, washing coffee cups and repotting overgrown seedlings.
I exist on pretty much every other adoptable site there is, and if anyone ever points me towards one I don't have an account on, I'll be fixing that.
This site seems to have the cutest art ever, so many round little critters. ; v ; ♥
Navigation is still a bit confusing but I was most curious about what events are usually like. Are they a seasonal scheduled sort of thing or more random?

Welcome to Hope! :D
I feel you on procrastinating with pet sites. They're so addicting, and so much easier than chores sometimes. (Good luck with all that stuff too, though!)
As for events, there's usually one "event" per month, usually based around the forums. Each month there'll be something new going on, though that may just mean NPCs are talking about a certain thing or there's a specific type of item release happening.
More rarely, we have much bigger events using the event questing system. These are a combination of NPCs posting on the forums and using the Event page to do quests and tasks for NPCs to progress in the event.
(An example of this would be the Illuminary Gala event. During that, some of the NPCs were holding a masquerade ball and we had to try to work out which of the given suspects (if any) was plotting treason, by doing quests with NPCs and voting that way.)
Other than that, there's also seasonal events each year, which come with a shop and new items to buy, or other perks. Those would be:
- Prism Party (August), to celebrate the main site Admin's birthday
- Halloweave (October), aka Halloween
- Site Anniversary (October 20th), celebrating the launch of the site, often by removing shop cooldowns for a day
- Boorthday (January 18th), a mini event for staff member stopboorider's birthday, with a few new items
- Palentine's (February), a version of Valentine's but for all types of love, not just romantic
Hopefully that information is helpful, but if I wasn't clear on something or you want to know more, feel free to ask! :D (Or if you have questions on anything else too!)

Aaa thank you so much for the really thorough info!
It all sounds a tinsy bit confusing for now but I'm sure it gets clearer through some trial and error and frantic clicking around during an event. :D
Also 100% always up for a new friend, though I'll probably mostly ramble about birds, tea and plants. Excessively. To no end. ^^''
It doesn't help that I don't actually know that much about any of these things.

Yeah, a lot of things make more sense once you're able to see it for yourself, I think. Most events will have information in the news posts about it, so as long as you're paying attention to the Announcements forums you should be able to follow along pretty well, hopefully!
