I do love a whimsically macabre world, and I [i]have[/i] pondered joining FL so that I could see more of the Neath. How newbie-friendly is the game? Does it have a friendly community?

[url=/users/profile/CloudedOtter][@CloudedOtter][/url] It's been a while since I started, but I think jumping in is pretty easy, especially if you remember some of the basics of the world from sunless sea. It can be a bit grindy at higher levels cause you only get a certain amount of actions a day, but the writing is REALLY good. The community is pretty small but very dedicated, and the social interactions you can have through the site itself can lead to fun role play, I've made some friends there. I'm very in it for the lore, I love the world. It can be hard to learn about the deeper mysteries in game unless you're very patient, I spoiled nearly everything for myself and I've found it only added to my experience. If you like the vibe of Sunless Sea, FL is basically that, but a bit more of the humor and less of the brutal horror (there's still plenty though)
