What makes a Jamaican ginger cake Jamaican? Sorry, still thinking about baking. There's a really delicious fig-and-plum treacle cake but it needs oatmeal stout and going shopping doesn't appeal. So maybe I should actually try to stick with the original inspiration. But.... what's in a Jamaican ginger cake?

From what I can tell, it's just a Jamaican thing? In this case, I actually have a McVities cake from the shops, because I've been way too tired to cook normally, never mind bake! :P
