Polyprism [LOCKED]
Tutorial TutorialPolyprism [LOCKED] 11

Watercolors are perfect for blending disparate hues together! ...Just don't ask about that bit at the bottom.
Well, this is supposed to be my kith Polyp being cool and punching some ambiguous Snarl or antsy bit of Tatterstuff, as I've been a little more into battling recently. Since he loves colors, I figured this contest would be a great opportunity to try out drawing him, plus some Prism flair!
I just. I tried to fit a palette. Polyp himself and the... power trail? Were drawn with only seven- eight, if you include white- colors, with in-between hues coming about by manual color blending or gradients (plus some fancy layering that really just made more white). Pretty much every Prism item has a rainbow gradient! And the background was these same colors, just made a little extra pastel, since Prism tends to err towards the lighter side of things.
Then... Then I had to draw something for my kith to attack, because the whole "action pose" might feel incomplete without it.
...So I use colors representing the Tatters, because that's where Snarls come from, and I'd imagine Club would feel reassured knowing any loose ones would be taken care of, and anything bound would... at least be discouraged from causing trouble. (I don't really know what would happen if you attacked a bound one, plus it'd be, y'know, rude- at best!)
And then I remembered I had a limited palette. But the picture was already done.
...What's three more colors, right? Right...?

Hn... I suppose I'll allow it. Your art does meet all the technical requirements of the rules as written. Sigh. Why does everyone like to test my limits?
I do like your use of color to create a painting effect. The bright colors are most welcome underwater, since the Coral Reef can get very dark in the depths. And of course, I am always grateful to those of you whose Kith can battle the Snarls - my Whimperials are still too uncoordinated and young to brave the arena yet. I wouldn't want them to be injured.
